I love the idea of having a vintage style cart with sweet jars and little paper bags as something for he evening guests, has anyone ever had one?
Just wondering if they go down well, I know I love the look of them just don't want it all to go to waste, well not to waste as such because you keep all the sweets but I want them for the guests not me!

My work had them in for a charity event and yeah they work really well as a lot of vendors will be happy to dress them for you as well to suit your theme. We're just having a sweet table for our wedding as it cost less than hiring.

They are a lot more common now so people will love them. We're having one too and we get a free wishing well with ours. You could make your own if you wanted, you'd just have to sit and work out which way was cheapest as you can buy a lot of sweets in bulk.

Yeah we've been debating hiring it fully done or there's a place who will hire out just the cart and empty jars fairly cheap and then we might go to somewhere like a cash and carry to buy bulk sweets, need to look into prices see what will be best. Think we'll probably go for it, if all else fails and it doesn't go down too well we'll have tons of sweets to take into work after the wedding haha! xx
One of the girls i work with had a candy cart at her wedding and it looks like it went really well! She has always loved pick N mix, so said she would always have one at her wedding. There was also quite a few kids at her wedding and they loved it!

I own 2 and there really popular hun, my advice for all you ladies is always ask about d.i.y options such as just hiring the cart as in some areas it does work out way cheaper supplying your own sweets and jars. Mines out nearly every weekend infact I think theres pics in my albums of it. Make sure to check for public liability insurance and food hygiene certs aswell as there are alot popping up without the proper paperwork trying to make a quick buck under cutting businesses that pay the over heads, sometimes cheap means cheap so check out a few 1st xx
31st August 2013 I became Mrs Carrick
Cant wait to do it all over again in 2018

I have been going back and forth on doing this!!! I think it would be a really nice addition to the evening reception!!! The hired carts look sooo cute. We thought about doing our own, but I think we might hire.

I would love a candy cart but we won't have many children and all the adults should be stuffed after their 3 course meal and the evening buffet!! xx
