Hi everybody! I just wanted to get a few ideas from you all.
I am having my older sister and two nieces as my MOH/bridesmaids for my wedding. My sister is very keen to help out but, unfortunately (for me, anyway!) they live in Australia. They will be flying over a week or so before the wedding and my sister has also offered to fly over later in the year to help with bits but she would only be able to get a couple of weeks off work, so that would be a very expensive trip when she has a young family, and I feel as if she could save that ticket money for themselves.
Anyway, we have already discussed doing skype calls when I start shopping for my wedding dress next week, but I was wondering if any of you could think of a few jobs I could give her which would allow her to still feel part of everything and help me out as well? She will be arranging the bridesmaids dresses over there as that will be easier in terms of fittings. She has also offered to do any research, calling or emailing to different places to save me a job. Can anybody think of anything else we could come up with?
Luckily, I have fantastic support with everything this end with my mum, aunts, cousins and friends offering lots of time and help but it is very difficult going through everything without my sister being here, as I always imagined us planning everything together, so we are both keen to try and keep her involved as much as possible.

Could she organise hair accessories for herself and her daughters? What about stationery, is she any good at graphic design on computer? She could design invites, place names etc. She'd need to send them over to you in one block though, as it would cost a fortune to send them from Australia. She could be the point of contact for suppliers, who often deal with things via email or Facebook. You can always discuss ideas with her if you're skyping, eg. flowers or stationery design, so she can be someone who helps you to make decisions.

Hi guys. Thanks for your ideas! Yeah, I will definitely make good use of skype. Perhaps we will have to schedule a regular skype date! I will ask her about invitations and favours. I still haven't decided on what favours to have yet, so maybe she can help with ideas for that as well.
