I'm wondering if anyone can point me I. The right direction. Basically it's going to cost us £560 to give our notice and have a registerer attend out wedding venue (monkey island) and perform the ceremony, so my partner suggested we get married in out town hall on a Monday for £50 on the secret and then maybe have a blessing that's performed as a ceremony but it's not legal as we would already be married...
Is such thing available? If so we are Christian and getting married on monkey island so any advice on where to look for someone to perform the blessing would be greatly appreciated.

Yes ..... If you are just re saying your vows you can have ANYONE confect the ceremony as it hold no legal basis

I once sang at a wedding where they had done the legal bit at the registry office on the Saturday, and then had a religious ceremony on a Sunday. That was so that they could have a religious ceremony without using a church, as a legal ceremony in a civil venue can't have any religion. It wasn't legal, but they did everything over again, including vows and rings, and as far as they were concerned that was their real wedding, as the religious aspect was important to them. It's the way it often works on the continent. I went to one in France where the couple had already been to the registry office, dressed smartly rather than in wedding outfits, and done the legal requirements, then a few weeks later they had their church wedding.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

If you're getting the "secret" part done at a registrar then that's already the legal part done. A blessing after is just covering the religious side of it which means more to you. To have a "legal" blessing after it's already legal is sort of redundant.
In regards to someone performing the blessing why not speak to local ministers in the area or someone in your family who is devout and can perform the blessing for you.

i dont understand what you mean by a LEGAL blessing ..... the marriage is the legal part and can only be performed by someone who holds the authority to conduct the ceremony ... a blessing is a NON-LEGAL ceremony ,it holds no recognition in law
