I cannot believe i have been on here 5 year's!!!!! (21st Feb 2010) & It felt like i'd be waiting forever to get married! Now things are settled and with our last and final date change, I'm now looking forward to getting married to the love of my life x

Yes have been on here a long while and had lots of time planning etc and luckily my tastes haven't really changed so most of the plans have stayed the same lol xx
LoopyLou, your profile says you joined 15th Oct 2008 So nearly 6 years! lol I love every aspect of planning our wedding if a little stressful but fingers crossed all seems settled so no more date changes or venue changes! :)

WOW!! didnt realise it was that long lol Well when you have 2 cancellations i guess time creeps past lol Yeah i like seeing people planning their wedding, gives good ideas too (normally tweak them to add some me to it lol)

It all sounds great, we haven't sorted anything yet and we're aiming for August 2016. I have managed to get the OH to start looking at venues this past week. He thinks 2016 is ages away and doesn't really understand my urgency! x

Have a meeting with Father James on the 23rd to discuss our wedding at the church, very excited and nervous as he is coming to our home! :) & on the 2nd August we will be looking around the hotel, discussing our date and fingers crossed booking it then! cannot wait xx

Update - Sorry haven't been on recently been a busy bee with my 13wk old boy and getting prepared for my Lg to start reception in Sept... Ok so it didn't go to well with father James our connection to his church wasn't strong enough but on the upside we have a date tomorrow with Reverend Noelle which is the church my parents were married in and we know for sure we can have our day there! :) meeting with hotel got pushed back until end of this month due to unforeseen circumstances (long story but Fil2b hasn't been well) so fingers crossed on that front not much else been done at the moment as had such a lot going on but I am getting back into it now as I need a distraction and what better than our beautiful day xx

Shame about the church, the rules are quite strict. The church your parents married in is definitely allowed though.

Update - Sorry haven't been on recently been a busy bee with my 5 n half month old boy and doing school run which is tiring when the walk to school is a good half hour away and some other personal issues... Ok so it was lovely meeting reverend Noelle she was so great and very helpful and she advised we book in January next year as the date we want is classed as high season so have to get it booked asap :) downside is the original hotel we wanted booked an appointment to view it the two weeks before we found out via our local news paper that they was closing down! So currently trying to find a new venue and we've also had to cut costs so it will be a budget wedding but definitely still a beautiful day :) xx
