    Hello everyone I havn't really got a theme but I would like the décor on the big day to be quite elegant. I am sorted for the day but not sure what to do for the evening and was wondering if anyone had any tips. I don't want the room to look like a typical party with just balloons and confetti. I need ideas of how else to decorate the room that is not too expensive and still looks elegant.

    Thanks =] xx

    Really nice idea recently was I woman had vases filled with water with clear green stones at the bottom which held flowers into place which was submerged in the water and submersible LED light under the stones. Looked a little something like this (see pic)

    I'm having a Alice IW theme but I am using white manzanita tree's as centrepieces which I am decorating. I;ve seen them done very simply with clear crystal chains or handing crystals.

    I have seen recently in a few wedding mags about sparkle styles coming and there are loads of DIY vids online on how to make stuff . For example candle holders with glitter effect half way up , so it's not too over the top but adds a bit of sparkle to a day :)

    I like those Victoria! We're having turquoise and white ostrich feathers. Fishbowls are really simple to make. My sister used them for her wedding and she's got two in her front room so it's not as much money wasted either by keeping them x

    In the day we had tall martini glasses with one of those LED lights in, filled with those gel beads and then three red roses on the top as roses were our theme. For the extra tables in the evening we did the same but in fish bowls and just one rose. They looked really classy especially with the light at night, and people couldn't stop playing with the gel beads! (They did feel amazing!)

    haha keeps people entertained. my sister has informed me I am being daft and just looking for things to spend more money on which tbh she probably has a point. She then came up with the idea of putting the fishbowls I have during the day on the spare tables on the night which is the most obvious idea I don't no why I didn't think of it. thanks everyone for your help. I love martini glasses I think they look soo classy.

    They we're brilliant, and it was amusing to watch them grow as they start off as tiny hard beads and expand to gel balls! They were really cheap, and we got the extra fishbowls off the bay! Pictures in my album x

    Fairy lights? We had them outside on the walkway between the main manor house and the marquee which looked fab in the evening all lit up with our Chinese lanterns.

    Our table centers had flowers and floating candles in bowls so added to the elegant decor and looked amazing in the evening.

    xx

    Petals on the tables always look great! Decorated empty yankee jars look great (my sis did this at hers, ribbon round,then flowers in them)
    Candle holders will give ambience at the evening too with little candles in x
