Hi all! Thought I'd create a diary to show everything that will be planned within the next year and 10 months! I will give some detail about me and my H2B and then go on about what is going/has been planned. I'm 22 and my H2B is 20, we have been together for over a year and met in work. Instantly we hit it off and have been inseperable, even living in our own home now. I'm originally from New Zealand and he is from Salford; both of us now live in Snowdonia, North Wales. H2B proposed on Shrove Tuesday in our kitchen lol. The stress of being a third year in University is now over and I'm due to graduate in July - Update - Just graduated yay. We have decided on a venue and have given me a quote:
The Royal Victoria Hotel in Llanberis who have quoted us £2100 which includes wedding breakfast for 50, evening buffet for 80, resident dj, set up of the venue, a free sweet table (as we are getting married in a church instead) and hotel room for the both of us! Here are some pictures that I've found (due to view in the next few weeks)

We have our rings (his late grandparents) which will be re-sized and dipped in white gold. I have my 3 bridesmaids, SIL2B, H2B cousin and my step sister. He is yet to choose his best man. Pictures of the church will go on next sunday as I'm attending next sunday. Our wedding colour is white and navy blue and I'm incorporating the New Zealand theme into our wedding as my family are unable to come over but we are visiting in January next year and going to bring some stuff back over with me!
I hope you will enjoy the diary from now until March 2016 :)

Here are our rings which were given to h2b when he was one. They will be dipped into white gold to match my engagement ring and re-sized. Simple yet perfect and a strong meaning behind them!

I posted something about a week ago- secured our date for 5th of March 2016! Got Wedding Breakfast for 50 in the day (before 3pm) and evening buffet with dj in seperate area for 80. So excited! I've contacted a few photographers, think we are going for someone who is offering £455 for all day including bridal prep, free engagement shoot and photo album. She is really good so we are going to book her very soon! Visited the church in Llanberis today, sister church to the family's and is only 2 minutes drive from the venue :) just need to talk to the priest etc now. I am getting silk flowers for the boquets, found my wedding dress where pictures will be uploaded soon but still stuck on bridesmaid dresses! H2B suit is only £57 to hire for everything which is quite good! So far so good!

Right I haven't done much wedding planning since updating this post BUT there is only literally a YEAR AND 6 DAYS TO GO.
Ok, so I've found my wedding cake which I will show once my other laptop is working as I haven't been on for at least 4 months due to this! Suits will be Navy Blue King Edward and there will be 8 hired at £70 each. Bridemaids dresses are a stunning £13 each but I will be jazzing them up! Not too sure about my dress now as I'm thinking of having straps instead but I love the lace dress the a high street store has! Invites I'm doing myself, Going to church at the moment, because I'm not Catholic but CofE, it's important to h2b's family we marry in the Catholic Church which I'm willing to do. It's strange going to mass but hey ho - things I do for h2b :) Favours doing myself but just got back from holiday to New Zealand with h2b so he could meet the family before we marry next year and bought 50 kiwiana styled keyrings so they are our favours!
Will post lots of pictures/photos next week when the laptop is fixed!
Thanks for reading and following me on my journey to becoming a WIFE

Sounds like it's all full steam ahead :)
Have you bought your dress already? I'm sure a seamstress could add straps for you if you really want them :) My dress has straps, it was the one thing I knew I wanted!
I'll be bookmarking this to keep up to date x

No not bought dress yet, probably won't for a few months yet as we are slowly saving! I just don't want to be tugging it or the fear it will just drop walking down the aisle or when dancing! lol x

Bay of E - just a plain navy blue dress but has an embellishment on the waist so looks less cheaper than it should haha. I put in UK Only so I wouldn't get charged with customs - just in case knowing my luck! :) Thanks for the support though! x

Ok so I have some photos of my favours & cake!
My favours are like a xmas cracker but aren't lol. Me, Mum and sister are cross stitching names which will double up as a place card and there is a keyring inside from New Zealand (I was born there & got back off holiday lol) So see what you think!

The cake is an odd one. I wanted cupcake which were navy blue but I was at a local wedding fayre and there was a stall of cakes and all I saw were the two owls on top and I had to have it lol. So that will be my cake!
Not sure on centrepieces yet.. I'm thinking Mason Jars and putting some fairy lights in it then maybe some sort of garland around it. I will get a photo of my dress shortly for you all to see and my shoes oh and the bridesmaid dresses - just bare with me! xxx
