Well h2b and I love every breath you take by the police. Have always loved it and thought it would be nice as our first dance song but after listening to it I don't know whether it would be a song you could 'slow dance' to lol. Opinions please :-)

The only thing about that song, which is not a widely know fact but my H2B is a geek with pop music, is that it is actually a stalker singing about the woman he is stalking. It's one of those songs that is hugely popular as a first dance but actually the content is not so good. The same goes with "I will always love you", it's actually a song about someone who has been dumped but still loves her ex. The question is will any of your guests know the real meaning of the song.

We've had this problem and really struggled to find a song that fitted us as a couple. We've now settled on John Legend, All of me. We've chosen this because every single word applies to us. Our relationship hasn't been perfect and I have a sharp and unpredictable mouth. But h2b loves me even when I'm being a total bitch lol. I also didn't want any of the usual cliche songs, not that they're not good, classic songs, I'm just not a fan :) xx

You pick whatever song has meaning to you.It doesn't matter what the songs actual meaning is as long as it's not too extreme lol.People won't be thinking into your song either,they'll just be watching the happy couple & prob thinking "this song is great".My partner & I both love UB40s,Can't help falling in love with you.But since I love Elvis too & he sang it first we've decided this is the more romantic choice.We're young enough too & I've had a few raised eyes but it's what we want.I don't care how old it is :)

I also agree about not bothering about what the real meaning of songs are, loads of people have songs like ''I will always love you'' or a number of bon jovi songs, which are all about being dumped.... but if it's a song you love and means something to you as a couple, then who cares. If anyone at your wedding decides to point out the song is actually about a woman being stalked then you can slap them
