Well wedding is 9 weeks Saturday and the nerves are kicking in now big time. You'd think that I've been married before (managed 16 years) and that I'm 44 I'd be fine...but I'm not. I do get why I'm so nervous; my 74 year old mum has secondary cancer and isn't coping well with the chemo. She lives 100miles away and the way she was last weekend there's no way she'd make it and I just can't imagine getting married without her there. Also I picked my dress last November and have lost 2 stone since and my body shape has definitely changed, so I'm panicking the dress won't suit me. It comes back next week so at least I can try it on then to see how it looks. I know it can be taken in, but it's weather it'll suit me now. And then there's loads of bits and pieces to get done, nothing major but working full time, 2 teenagers and a sick mum I'm feeling time running away with me!!! Am I normal?????

Absolutely normal. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. If you have a good dress shop they will be able to make alterations to change it, other than taking it in. You can experiment with hoops as well to change the shape of the skirt. Would it be an option to set up a Skype call to your mum so that she can watch it? Maybe if she can't do it herself someone nearby can help her to set it up. You have two teenagers, use them. I'm sure they can take some of the jobs off you.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Skype is a good idea Elinor but obviously I hope to won't come to that. Dress is quite tight fitting, so fingers crossed!!

If it's tight then I would imagine losing weight will make it look better.
