We aren't going on our honeymoon until 2016 a year after we get married and it will be a family holiday as no way am I leaving my 3 children behind for 2 weeks I am however thinking of booking 3 nights away in Windsor (UK) and 2 days in lego land for us and the kids the Monday after we get married and leaving it for h2b to open on the morning of our wedding as a surprise?
Do you think it's a good idea just to get away even if it's only for a few days and I do want to take the kids too as the months before everything will be wedding wedding wedding so think they'll deserve something too

I think if it's what you want to do then go for it.
I couldn't leave my son for 2 weeks it's too much for him, us and the grandparents looking after him. I think Legoland sounds great. And I'm sure the kids and your h2b will love it x
After 7 years and 11 months he proposed to me 18.10.13
Our son is 5 years old and our world
Getting married 15.08.15.
Life hasnt been easy but we have each other :)

I think it's a great idea! We were gonna do the same as you and take my children away next year after the wedding to give us longer to save for it, but then my sister told me off and said she'd have the children for me, so we've just booked a week to jamaica to enjoy some kid free time just us :-) will be nice, and only a week! Have u not thought about even a few days in Paris or somewhere just so you can go you two?x

We have thought about Venice for 2 nights and 3 days as my brother and sister in law have offered to have them but we haven't discussed it any further

We don't have any kids (yet!) but as we get married in Easter and aren't having our honeymoon until the summer holidays (he works in a school). We are having a minimoon like a few days in Paris, Rome etc so that we can actually say we've been somewhere as a married couple as we felt summer was a long wait
I think that's a great idea! H2b keeps saying he doesn't think we will be able to afford a honeymoon, but I'm thinking of booking a minimoon somewhere as a surprise for him probably the Lakes or Scotland as he loves both. He's always surprising me with little bits of things and he never gets anything so I thought it'd be nice lol. I'm sure your h2b will love it xx
