Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me, im getting married at a manor and having both my ceremony and reception there, but I would really like a vicar rather than a registrar. Is this possible? :-/ xxxxx

You'll need to ask your venue. I think usually non-religious venues have to have non-religious ceremonies. However you could get around it. Perhaps once the legal ceremony is done you could follow it immediately with a blessing done in the same room by a vicar. Alternatively, I came across one couple who wanted to get married in some gardens just outside Cardiff, but were Christians and definitely wanted a Christian wedding. They had a wedding weekend, with a small registry office ceremony on the Saturday to satisfy the legal requirements, and then a religious service on a Sunday afternoon, complete with exchange of vows and rings. Technically it was just a blessing so they were able to have the religious ceremony even though it was a civil venue, but as far as they were concerned that was the point where they actually became married.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Some venues are approved for religious and civil ceremonies. Speak to your venue as sometimes they are licenced for both but may only be allowed religious ceremonies or civil ceremonies in certain rooms and not all xx
