We've booked! We went to our venue to pay our £400 deposit last night and paid the £200 deposit for registrar today. When we went last night to the castle the wedding co-ordinator said we can go back on 5th April to view the tables all set up the night before the next wedding they are holding!

It's starting to get a bit more real now, and I'm anxiously awaiting our save the dates to come!
The next thing on the list is either paying the 25% at a year before the wedding in April, but hopefully we will find some money to book the photographer we like!

Thank you, we absolutely love it. We had decided to get married there before we even got engaged! I love telling people I'm getting married in a castle, it's so different and I don't know anyone who hasn't used the same venue in our town x

Walworth Castle in Darlington. I can't wait! Hopefully it doesn't rain as we have full use of the grounds, and there are even stocks outside and a children's playground! xx

Well thought I'd do an update...
Just to clarify, I will be the new Mrs Swan...
We have:
Venue - £400 deposit paid and paying first installment of £1000 on the 5th Photographer - £333 deposit paid by MIL Pocketfold invites built, just need decorating later (got them early so we have plenty of time to do when we're off in small doses) Save the dates - about half have been given out, rest need dishing out Transport is OHs bosses car - she's getting her husband to take OH and his 2 best men, I'm staying at venue - paid £20 for car ribbon and thats it! Cake being made by boss too ^ Have my jewellery Have ivory place cards with a swan Mr & Mrs Swan cake topper inside the body of a swan 1/3 of favours ordered - mini personalised love hearts, with a swan on! We have a sample sash for the chairs for colour matching & OH has an appointment on Saturday to book suits and pay deposit

Thank you :D I can't wait to try my dress on again in a week! I'm taking it to a local bridal store so she can see what alterations need doing closer to the time as its from a lovely outlet. I have a hoop for it too and makes it feel that bit more special :)
I think the next big thing we need is flowers now. The little things are coming together nicely, I live on the Bay! X

I need to find someone to do my dress alterations cos that was from an outlet too but need to get the right height shoes first! x We've been thinking about booking to go see a florist this month just because they're most likely to have the same flowers they'll have the same time next year for our wedding! Also the jewellery shop that rhymes with "hamuels" has a wedding event on in april where they're offering discount on wedding rings so we've booked an appointment for that too! x

A few weeks ago I was worrying that I was behind but I wouldn't worry, it really does all just come together! I didnteven plan to go dress shopping so early, it was a last minute decision trying to find places that didn't require appointments the night before haha.
I need shoes too but i think I'll struggle with that because I'm tall enough already so want a mid heel. Me and OH are the same height so I'll be taller than him on the day and any other time I wear heels!
I'd really like blue flowers in my bouquet even if ts just a little splash of colour all all blue, as our colour s a turquoise shade. O either of you loaded know any flowers rough.y that colour in season during April?
I didn't know about that jewellers event, might have to have a look at that too xx

Honeymoon is something we aren't thinking about at the minute. We know we want to go to the Caribbean somewhere, but as OH works in a school we are going to have a mini moon just after the wedding and have a nice city break somewhere and have our proper honeymoon in the summer holidays.
We cant afford to start paying for a nice honeymoon just yet. It's my own fault really, he said to get married in summer but I couldn't wait that long so said we could have a mini moon first ha! X

Ahhh a year on Friday! Oh my giddy aunts! yeah the jewellers event will be good so excited to try on some shaped rings! I don't even think we'll be able to afford to go on a honeymoon! A lot of the flowers they will add food colourant to the water to make it the colour you want hun!

That dress is absolutely stunning. I'm having blue for my theme, and although I think there are lots of blue flowers around in August, I've got artificial bouquets for myself and the bridesmaids, so that they can be kept afterwards. Might be worth considering.

Well I booked my bridesmaids dresses last week and they are lovely!

Its the one on the right but it looks so much better when you see it on! It will be in 'turkish blue' which matches our turquoisey theme :) Can't wait to see them properly in September.
I've also been thinking about this for my hair as I think it would match them nicely and I'm mad for anything with a bow on!

We booked what were having from our venue dressers yesterday so waiting on an email with finalised quote.
Roughly 60 sashes (chair covers included in venue), 8 ostrich feather centre pieces with tall vases, mirrored plates and scatter crystals, and our top table and cake table swag.
The guest book we want is out of sock until mid June :/
We got this a couple of weeks ago :)

I'm a 4/4/2015 bride too!! Only got the venue, register office booked so far! Venue has inhouse caterers and DJ so need to meet them. Tried a few dresses on but so far haven't seen the one! I want a knee length one with lace sleeves so finding it hard to find one in my budget! Xx

We went to metro centre today and have paid the deposits on our rings! I love them, can't wait to wear them. I also got my underwear from B0uX avenu and the bm's jewelly, matching necklace and earrings for £25 each plus £5 for gift wrapping lol.

I didn't want to take it off haha. I tried a few different styles but definitely wanted a shaped one and it fits really well with my engagement ring. I tried one with the diamonds at the top but it didn't look right with my ring, so decided on that one with the diamonds at the bottom, then there's not too much going on and the diamonds are spread out nicely. :)

Well I picked my wedding ring up today, a day earlier than expected delivery date - very impressed considering we only ordered them on Tuesday! Adam's is due in the shop 5th June :) Paid remaining balance for mine - £199 (£299 altogether)
We had our appointment to give notice today, paid another £70 out.
We also set up a joint account too! Next step after the wedding is mortgage - feeling very grown up!
Im currently in the process of updating my wedding book and putting it all on my laptop instead of relying on my little book ha.
