Our Wedding Co-ordinator put ours together (obviously with our input). Ours is as follows:
1130 - Groom arrives 12:00 - I arrive 13:00 - guests start to arrive 13:30 - Ceremony 14:00 - After ceremony drinks, canapes & Photographs 15:30 - Receiving Line 15:50 - Bride & Groom Introduced to the room 16:00 - The Wedding Breakfast 18:00 - Speeches 18:30 - After dinner Coffee is served 19:00 - Evening Reception starts 19:50 - Cut the cake 20:00 - First Dance 20:30 - Buffet Served 00:00 - Bar closes

I'd speak to your wedding co-ordinator, I think you could have them wherever you wanted, but I'm not 100% on that :/ sorry

Ive seen a few weddings with poems and they did theirs before the exchange of rings, in doing so it gave an extra special touch to the actual ceremony and added emotion to it, but its up to you really its your wedding and you should do what ever feels best to make it your day to remember

Our registrar sent us a booklet to pick the wording of vows, music choices etc and there was approx 3 points during the ceremony where we could have had readings/poems. I'd ask your registrar if they have something similar cos it really helped us

We will have a reading/poem but this will be done before the exchanging of vows/rings as I think that it's the last thing to be done
