We are having lessons as I dont want to just sway and despite what he says my oh just cant dance! We are having an jour introduction where the lasy listens to our chosen song and teaches us the basics, then we can book additional classes if needs be!

I'd love to have lessons, but don't think we have the time for it really :(

We had 5 lessons before our reception back in the UK. Hubby isn't a fan of the 'awkward shuffle'. The most difficult part of it was choosing our song LOL!
Really glad we did it - no one could believe that I'd got him to dance, let alone take lessons for it. It wasn't even my idea :)

It's great for boosting your confidence that little bit.

A quick look online and I'm getting quotes for around £220 - £250, is that about right?

haha rachel! decided my h2b has no choice now hes not doing a speech so this is my bargaining tool ;) Donna i would say that about right i've seen a few ranging from £150-300 the 1 i've looked into is a local dance teacher/school think its 150 for 5 hours and we get to pick if we want her at our house or we go to the dance school x

That why we are doing an into lession. If we want more its only 30 an hour. I think about 4-5hours is normal (well from the 2 people I know who have done it!)

We had 5 lessons and paid £250, so I'd say about £50 a lesson is about right :)

We are just going for the shuffle round in a circle ha ha neither of us really want the first dance and feel a bit awkward and embarrassed at that type of thing although for the rest of the night you will find me on the dance floor ha ha

I'm going to ask my fiancé about it, the one's I saw come to your home which would be great for us and would also mean we literally wouldn't have to tell anyone about it (wouldn't have to arrange a baby sitter) he did mention getting lessons before we got engaged but obviously he might change his mind now as it is a cost

Hmmmm asked him about them and he said yeah but not yet, I told him about the people who come around and teach you a dance to your chosen song and he said he wouldn't bother with that, he thinks we'd be okay going somewhere that can teach us a basic waltz a couple of months before the wedding.... so that means it isn't happening :(

We had a couple of lessons, but the teacher couldn't really understand what we wanted. I think we had the wrong type of dancing. In the end we chose something from Dance Central and adapted it!
