My 4 bridesmaids keep asking me for some duties but right now I just can't think of anything. They're organising my hen weekend but so far that's it. We're ordering the invites instead of making them so I'm just a little stuck for ideas.
What are the rest of you lovely ladies asking your bridesmaids to do?

Most of the duties for my bridesmaids will be on the day. I did get their opinions on my dress, and the two MOHs will be in charge of the hen do. One of my MOHs is also making the bridesmaids dresses. Other than that it will be helping me get ready on the day, holding my flowers during the service, making sure guests all find their way to the reception venue, and maybe helping with refreshments.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

So far my MoH has come dress shopping with me. We are going to pick bridesmaid dresses tonight and then she will help me with general planning. Ie candy buffet, centerpireces and all kinds of things like that.
I think if you are having your wedding at the venue that has a lot of this "stuff" included, then there wouldnt really be much to do for bridesmaids, but our wedding is very much DIY, so there is lots to do.

Ooohhh favours - I can definitely delegate that to help them feel more involved! In fact I've just realised I wanted to change some of the invites - they come with a tassel and i'd rather have a bow so instead of paying extra for the stationers to change it I was going to do it myself but I'll definitely get them to do a batch each as well.
Thanks ladies - I knew you'd be able to inspire me!

I haven't thought of this either as I'm a bit of a control freak lol
My MOH and bridesmaid had a choice of 3 dresses and they both chose the same one so that was a relief and my MOH is arranging the hen night and my other adult bridemaid will help with hair on the day as she's a hairdresser but that's about it really

Mine will be helping with favours, decorating glass jars with lace and ribbon for tealights on the outside tables and making origami flowers for the bar area. I'm considering making confetti and cones and order of service type things (so people know timings of food disco etc) so they will be roped into that. Although one will be in her second year of uni so may not have to do anything :)

One of my bridesmaids offered to do the candy buffet for me bless her but my h2b is adamant that is his thing lol

Oly dueties I can think of before the day, is to listen to me moan or obbsess about things. Attend maybe a few fayres with me. Plan my hen doo. Attend dress fittings . Help with favours an invites if asked. And be promp , an attend rehersal if needed.

On day. Turn up early! Dont moan about anything to bride, try an resolve any last min problems, help wrangle and kids in bridal party, help guest find there seats. Make sure you know who to keep a eye on anyone who may get a bit over drunk, start dancing in evening after 1stdance ?

Well my sister is getting married in April and as her MoH i have went dress shopping with her (going underwear shopping soon), joint planning for the Hen party and listened to all things wedding with her, wether it be other people moaning and groaning or if she just wants to vent (mainly family related as it normally is with weddings lol) I also offered to make tablet as her wedding favours. Other than that i have just told her to ask me if she needs anything. They have managed to sort everything out pretty quickly so there wasnt really much for us to do :D
