My friends did it after we all were saved canapes at her wedding before the evening guests arrived. I think im going to do it either after or before our first dance so our evening guests also get something special xx

Tradintionally before the meal as it would be served as desert. I will be cutting my cake when all of my evening guest arrvie xx

Im doing it in the evening as we are having a late Wedding breakfast and then evening guest will be arriving straight after the speeches, so will do it just after evening guests arrive and then everyone can have some and then evening and hour later.

I think we will go in the evening. Get the wedding breakfast done, let people have a break from some food! Have the speeches, then the slow dance, then possibly combine it in after that, make it all romantic and all! I'd like to think I would have the cake on display a little before it gets cut up!

Usually its done after the speeches. But we are splitting our wedding breakfast up. We're giving starter and main, then cutting cake and speeches, to then serve ours for dessert! X

2 sets of our friends did theirs after their speeches but another set did it at the start of the evening do and my cousin did theirs at about 9pm

i think we will do ours just after our dance and then we will do it then x

We're cutting it for the evening guests. Hadn't thought much about thye photo of us cutting it but I suppose we'll do it just before the first dance I think.

We're doing ours in the evening. We don't want our evening guests to feel TOO much like second-class citizens, so we've saved a couple of things until then eg there'll be a slide-show of images from the day playing just before the evening do kicks off, we'll be cutting the cake, and obv there'll be the first dance.

Plus, we have dessert with our meal, but nothing sweet for the evening buffet, so thought it would be nice to have the cake in the evening for that reason too :-)

Up to you to be honest hunni! Ours will be done BEFORE the breakfast as we are having it for dessert but my first wedding we did it in the evening before the first dance so ALL the guests could see it!

Ours is cheesecake made with loads of fresh cream so cant be left out hence doing it for the wedding breakfast dessert. Don't really want to make everyone ill! Plus we cant wait to eat it!

Hopefully we'll do it once the evening guests arrive, i want to cut it infront of everyone!!
My mum is a professional cake maker/decorator so we are having a 4 tier cake, all cakes a different flavour so there'll deffo be a flavour to suit all and it'll be put out as the pudding section of the buffet :)
