Wedding Forum - Who to have in suits?...

We are having, h2b, my dad, his dad, my three brother, his brother and his 2 best men!! So 9 suits in total, shoot me now!x

We were thinking my father, his father, best man (his brother) and page boy. My OH will be in uniform. Now just have to decide whether to wear navy/dark blue to match my OHs uniform or dark grey as I do love the dark grey suits. I think you should have whoever you want. My friend had her ushers in suits but without the waistcoats?

I love grey suits but if your oh is goin to be in navy it would look lovely if the other guys were in navy too. And your oh will still stand out in his uniform. When is your wedding?

Leanne we arent getting married until 2015 - havent set a date yet but we are thinking summer time as its easier for his leave x

my OH will be in uniform for the day then suit for the evening so was just going to put the rest of the men in normal suits. there will be my dad OH's 2 dads his 2 brothers my brother then his best man and 2 ushers plus our little boy so 10 in total not counting OH xx

I was thinking about this yesterday. I asked H2B and he looked at me, as if I had just grown a second head and shouted "I am not paying for other peoples suits" lol I told him, if we wanted them to be matching we would have to pay for them. He said they should wear whatever they want. Ermmmm... no!
So apparently I need to work on this one with him. I was thinking H2B, best man, our Dads and our 3 brothers. Although I am not sure our budget will stretch to include our brothers.

Aahh I see. I feel a bit cheeky asking them to wear the suit, but having them pay themselves. But that is just me personally. I haven't actually spoken to them about this yet, as we are still in the very early stages of planning. Maybe I could give them the options of wearing the same suit or their own?

Wow. That is a good offer. Is that online or local? I hope they offer, too. Saves me from asking them :/

Nobody will be wearing the same suits at our wedding. My fiance and his Dad will wear the same waistcoat and cravat I think (not sure yet)

i was gunna start a discussion on this yesterday, so thanks for doing it for me. weve got 60 people coming to the day and all the men in the family want a suit! weve got - here goes - oh, best man, his dad, his step dad, my dad, my step dad, his 2 brothers, my brother in law, 2 paige boys.
i hope this wont look silly but they have all said they will pay for there own so it doesnt matter to me and i like every1 to match xx

We're hoping to have OH, Dads, Best Man and OH's Bro who is usher in the same suits. My OH would like my Stepdad to be included too. He's been a big help with contacts for a few aspects of our wedding :)
