This is my first (of more than likely many!) post!
My H2B and I have lots of ideas for a honeymoon as we love to travel.
We had planned to ask for vouchers or likewise to help fund our honeymoon. However, we've hit a few problems with this.
1. It is A LOT cheaper to book yourself - I.e. not going through the major conpanies who offer vouchers (even half the price!
2. If you want to go on your honeymoon in the few days after the actual wedding, if you are waiting for contributions to pay for it, I don't think this is possible?
We will be using our budget to pay for our wedding and wont have much, if any left for a honeymoon so other than leaving it until a few months later leaving time to save, I'm running low on ideas!
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thank you :-) x

I know you mention it being expensive through big companies but I know ku0ni have a gift list service where people can pay towards your honeymoon any time
Became Mrs Mulholland on September 12th 2014!!!

We have asked for money instead of gifts and intend to use this for our honeymoon. We're taking the week after the wedding off for some r+r but having the official honeymoon later on in the year. Maybe something like this would suit you as tehn you'll have all of the gift certificates in if that's the route you want to go down? xx

we asked for money that we would then use towards doing fun stuff on honeymoon , whale watching was one of the things we did .
We booked our honeymoon with Thomas Cook. We then asked for money or vouchers as presents (finished up just getting money). Thomas Cook did advise that if we were given vouchers though, we could have credited them to our honeymoon.
This is something that I'm thinking of doing, even if I don't get to take a honeymoon until a few months after my wedding it will be something nice to look forward to x
