I went last year and am going this Sunday! It's really quite good, loads of different stalls, loads of offers too! They have everything you could think off there. Cars, bands, dresses, suits, florists. I got sooo many freebies last year, magazines, vouchers, CDs! Catwalk is good too, and you're guaranteed a seat because you're VIP!

We were thinking of going. Not been to Bluewater before so don't know what to expect either. It sounds really good Laura. We'll probably go saturday as we have a wedding fair at our venue on the sunday

I went to the bluewater one last year... it was a bit samey, although you could actually try dresses on at the bluewater one... plus there was stuff like free samples of cake and stuff and they gave you a free wedding magazine... there were several photobooths there that you got a free go of... and usually a few competitions too... you have to do it just for the expereince though!

That is true. Not sure my h2b can take more wedding fairs haha. If we go to this one we'll only have two left before the wedding anyway. So a tiny bit more suffering for him hehe :D x

Oooo, sounds great ValentinaK!! Sounds like we better pretty ourselves up for the day if we get to use photobooths and things!! I reckon that a little bit more suffering is ok, after all, you'll be married this time next year so you won't get to do it again!! x

I love wedding fairs, I would say know what your looking for and dont get caught up on stalls when you dont even want the product. We find we cant get away from some stalls as they just wanna talk and you end up missing half the things there. Dont book anything on the spot, Go away and have a chat first. Check prices from stall to stall. Today i was quoted £2.25 and £4 on different stalls for chair cover hire. I see you have a while until you get married, Dont let stalls put you off, I went to one in feb 2012 and a photographer went on and on about packages about 15mins later he asked my date (aug 2014) and he turned and tapped me on the shoulder and said good luck with that and walked off lol. I went to leave and another one called us over and he was so nice we booked with him, He showed us he was full for 2012 2013, We got our package at half price and a free shoot. I even see him today at another wedding fair and he came straight over to my h2b to chat and said he does 30 weddings a year and already has 25 for next year. I booked my cake today another great price. The lady gave me loads of cupcakes to bring home to try her flavours, She is also renting me a big wishing well post box for £10. I am hiring 5 giant garden games for £110 from a lady i met today, connect 4 jenga kerplunk etc. So great bargains. If you like something on a stall ask for a b/card and a pen and write something on it to remind you what stall it was and the price/person. I used to get home and have loads of leafets and not know who was who lol. I now take a bag with 2 sides one for what i like and the other for the ones i dont want.

One of the best things wedding fairs bring, is inspiration and a show case of new trends and what you could do... i use them for that...then how i can do a spin of it and make it my own and DIY... did my own cake toppers, done my own sweet table, my own flowers, own cake, and own table decorations and stationery. Also my own favours. Use it for that!
