I was wondering if anyone had any advice for my certain situation:

Myself & H2B placed a deposit for 'DJ' through our wedding venue in beginning of June, I have spoken to the 'DJ' company that we saw at the wedding venue and booked. They have told me that they have not received anything from our venue in order for them to book our date in with themselves they have also told me that they are no longer as of this week working along side our venue.

I then spoke to the venue and they have said that they wouldn't send the confirmation forms to the 'DJ' until we have had our planning meeting which in 2 weeks time. They have also said that our £50 deposit is also non-refundable.

    Questions:

Is it fair and can I ask for my deposit back as they did not say at the point of paying deposit that they wouldn't not confirm with the company until our planning meeting?

I also have no idea what 'DJ' company they will use instead of the one that we thought we were going to be getting. Does this mean that i can also ask for my deposit back on the grounds that i am not happy with their service because if they have done this with the DJ what else have we paid a deposit for and thought that we will be getting something and then it turns out to be something completely different and a company that we don't like.

Please HELP I really don't know what to do.

    Charlotte
