Hi girls what's been your biggest bargain so far? Mine is my wedding invites they are from h craft, 5 for 2.99 they are ones you decorate yourself so glad spent weeks thinking of ideas for them was going to print some off and design them but the time I buy card ink and other bits it would have started to add up! Gonna go back in the week for my evening ones xx

Mine was my reception venue. I spoke to the guys that runs the place and he said if we can get 200-250 people there we could have the room for free and only have to pay the security deposit which we will get back depending on if there has been any damage to the room (with my uncles on the case i doubt there would be so much as a broken glass lol)

To be honest ive managed to find alot of bargains to do with wedding stuff so im really spoilt for choice lol

I dont know where to start lol, I have got so many great bargains so far, In my album i have pics of the mens sock i always wanted £2.75 a pair needed 10 pairs so £27.50. I got 9 pairs from a end of sale for 30p a pair so £2.70, as they didnt have fog i had to buy that pair off net for £2.75! and they are not as nice a my others lol. My bm's tiaras were £2 each + their jewellery was £2 a set. My ring cushion was half price so £11. My table plan should have been £100 but im making it so appox £10. My dress should have been £1700 but got it at £1200. My transport should of been £1900, but i waited and shopped around and got it for £1200, My photographer was £1000 but as i booked him at a wedding fair 2 years away i got a free shoot and half price so £500. Got my place name cards last night 37p a pack not £1.50 as in sale so £3.33 not £15 she missed a pack at the till aswell lol. Garden games i got boules £2.99 foam noughts and crosses £3.99 and big playing cards £2.99 and i just brought hopscotch for £4 instead of £8. I have saved so much lol. Oh and i brought a mushroom for £1.50 not £6 and a frog £1.25 not £5, Im having fairytale theme so will paint them bright. So biggest saving is my transport.

My reception venue! Got it for free and drink prices comparable to that of the officers' mess bar...so cheap! My uncle is a mason there so he did it for us! In addition, we will be the sole users that day on the last Saturday in May! We didn't even have to pay a deposit!

Bartered my photography and dress down and my flowers have been inexpensive relatively speaking thanks to choosing artificial and having a country baskets card!

My best bargains so far are probably:

Invites (making them myself) works out at around 85p per invite and that includes the ink cartridges.

Table centre pieces and table stationary such as table number stands, place cards etc (making them myself) works out at £16 a table.

DJ is free - a very close friend of ours and we are giving him and his wife a room at the venue which includes breakfast in return as all 14 of the rooms are included in our Venue price.

My best bargain so far has to be our 1st honeymoon which our neighbour has given us for free. we werent going to go away until 1 year after wedding so that we can save up and go to maldives but our next door neighbour gave us their villa with pool in spain for 2 weeks we just need to pay for our flights :)

managed to get at least 10% off most suppliers by using family friend photographer and his recommendations.
we have also saved £725 on our rings by getting them from bham jewellery quarter.
friend of family is doing all wedding flowers at wholesale price - she doesnt want anything for her time but we will be giving her some anyway
my auntie is making our cake we just need to pay for ingredients - 5 tiers for about £150 bargain! x
