I thought I had found the photographer I liked as I could afford him - but the replies are coming back from other photographers and I can afford them and like their work too.
My 3 criteria are met with about 4 of them - and the prices are all pretty similar. I don't know how to choose, any ideas??

What about just arranging to meet with all 4 of them then decide once you have met them in person, as you normally get a feel of how they will be with you from an initial meeting. I wouldnt book straight from looking online, I would defo meet first and decide then. Photographers know that brides are shopping around so wont be upset if you met and then decided agaisnt them.x

its definately best to meet first, i model so im around photographers all the time and you get the better quality pics from someone your at ease with, they need to get a feel for you and vice versa to create the best possible documentation of your day, if your not on a certain level with someone then it will show in your pictures so meet them discuss what your looking for and get a feel for them first

We met our 'shortlist' photogrpahers, both were equally priced and both did the sort of photography we liked. In the end we decided on our photographer because not only was his work totally out of this world but he was one of the nicest men I have ever met!
I have a philosophy with people 'working' our wedding; If we would have them as guests then we'll hire them :) It's so important to feel comfortable with whoever you choose because really they're not just there to do a job but they also share in your day.

Check out what they're offering in terms of the album too (as in the album itself, not just the pictures) Some of these places use the cheapest albums they can find and charge you a fortune :( but if your photographer uses the 'Queensbury' albums then you're onto a winner!
    Good luck xxx

    It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

I think its not only the price that matters when choosing your photographer but the connection you have with them. I know it sounds silly but you need to feel comfortable around the photographer and feel at ease with him/her. I found a great photographer - he is such a lovely guy, really kind, friendly, and put me at ease within the first few minutes of meeting him. After the initial consultation i went home, went to bed and in the middle of the night some more photography related questions popped into my mind, i called him the next day and we spent an hour on the phone, he did not make me feel like i was bothering him, and i am so glad i have decided to book him. What's better is because i booked my wedding photography with him, we automatically benefit from a pre-wedding photo shoot.
