    Hi all,

I'm currently sat here frantically trying to finish our wedding website before our invites get sent out tomorrow. And I'm having a bit of a dilemma as to how to word the following:

Basically, we're not having a gift list and instead, we'd like our guests (if they want to, obviously) to make a donation to a charity that's been set up in memory of a family member. However, I'm currently having a bit of a mental block as to how to phrase this in a way that doesn't make people feel obliged to give if they don't want to.

We're going to put some background information about the charity so everyone can make an informed decision and then a link to a donation page.

Any suggestions on how to word this in a polite but casual way? (Most of our wedding website is a bit tongue in cheek, so I don't want to get all serious all of a sudden!)

In addition, we're also going to put that if people really do want to give us something that we would prefer vouchers to a certain Swedish store - again, any nice wording suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!! xx

How about something like this hun x

We havn't got a wedding list,
    the reason we'll explain.
To save you all the hassle,
    As shoppings such a pain.
We thought we'd ask you nicely,
    for something else instead.
    A lovely kind charity donation,
Not help for a honeymoon in the med.
so if you'd like to contribute
for a cause thats close to heart.
we off our heart felt thanks,
for the money that you do part.

    xxx

We are sending out this invitation
In hope you will join our celebration
But if a gift is your intention
May we take this opportunity to mention
We have already got a kettle and toaster
crockery, dinner mats, and matching coasters
so rather than something we have already got
We would appreciate money go in the charity pot
    But most importantly we request
That you come to our wedding as our guest
