As I have 10 children coming to the reception I thought I would make them all party bags with things to keep them entertained during the speeches, so the older kids are easy, the boys are having bugs and cars and colouring books, the girls bracelets, hair pretties and puzzles and a load of other stuff- I've managed to get enought stuff to fill 10 boxes for £1.41 each, multi buying stuff is so much cheaper. But I realised that I have 3 children between the age of 1 and 2 and they can't have any of the things that the older ones can have (when I say older the oldest is only 6) so I need inspiration, I don't want anything noisy and I am sure the parents won't want anything messy, they have to be cheapish, there is 1 girl and 2 boys. ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I have done colouring books and some colouring pencils for all children aged 18 months to 11 years old.... the older ones will actually do the puzzles and the younger ones will just scribble but keeps them busy xxx

Crayons and colouring books are a must have lol
what about a little teddy too?
And if the boxes are big enough poundland do bags of blocks, bigger than lego smaller than megabloks kids always love building things.

I'd say a teddy bear... that way they can give it a name, have creative play with it. Other animal soft toys would perhaps have an animal sound that would be echoed throughout your day... people whinnying at the child with a horse toy, for example. soft things won't make a sound when its being banged on the table for the millionth time during the speeches, whereas hard toys would. Also, if you go down the 'colouring' route, I'd suggest getting the 'magic' pens that only colour the 'magic' paper, not their fancy outfits/faces/table coverings ;-) Good luck hun! x
