Hi all, I have been looking around for wedding insurance and just wanted to give you all ideas of what to look our for.
I have already got my dress and it is stored at my in laws to be house.Im getting married 2014. I phoned a few insurance companies and found that they will not insure it more than 3 months before the wedding. Some companies also won't cover deposits or any payments etc that have been made before the you take out your insurance.
As my title says make sure you have the right cover and not the cheapest cover otherwise you may find that if you have to make a claim it may not cover all you need it to.
I have just got my wedding insurance that takes care of all of the above but as I can't post it on here private message me and I can tell you who i used.

Leigh, that's good to post this, I took my insurance out after I had paid most stuff, so was probs not insured.

For those ladies that are getting married abroad and are having a reception/party back in the UK afterwards:
Be careful about your dates! Most companies will only insure BOTH ceremonies/celebrations if they are maximum 13 days apart. As we got married in Vegas then had our honeymoon whilst out there and then had a couple weeks after we got back, there was only one company we could get insurance through.

We had to go with the saver of dreams (if you get my drift) for that exact reason as we had already booked the church and venue and no one would cover us before 2 years prior to the wedding date (we booked 2 and a half year before) but these covered all deposits payed. It cost us £37 I think xxx
