What's everyone having for their theme on table names/seating plan etc. I've heard of a bride naming all the tables after shoes. I was thinking about having retro sweets and then putting those sweets at the favours instead of the traditional sugared almonds!

Hi ya hun that sounds good and i like the idea of having the sweets of the table name as the favours. My whole wedding theme is red, white and roses. So ive named my tables after romantic roses :-)

Retro sweets is quite a popular one...you could do fave foods, places, ppeople, activities, dates that are important to you both..pets names, family names-past and present, fave toys as a kid...

I wanted to have my stuffed toys names and then have each one as a centrepiece(I have acquired more than is reasonable for a grown women over the years) in some sort of pretty arrangement but I would be worried about them being damaged. And also my friends making it look like they are h u m p i n g each other (who am I kidding? It will be me doing that after a couple of drinks).
Some people names theirs after places connected to their honeymoon - so if you were going to Kenya safari animals, if you were going to maldives types of fish etc.
I LOVE the fave takeaways table idea...and the toys are cute too...lol you KNOW they will be humping by the end of the 1st course!

hiya love your idea havin somthing similar,you cud have humbug,bon bons,jelly babies etc etc. same sweets as table names....i having 4oz jars of sweets (freeman and harding...online wholeselllers)then gettin fabric in my colour scheme wrapped with ribbon/lace round the top of the lids.
or your holiday destination,fav bands.my h2b just wants 1 -10 boring but im working on it.good luck.xxxxx

we have named our tables to stop any arguments from MIL as she can be a bit of a cow, they are as follows 1) riba roja- which is where my mum lives and was our first family hoilday 2) railway tavern- which is the pub where i used to work and where we first met 3) castle acre- which is where H2B asked me to married him 4) the mermaid- which is the pub we went on our first date to 5) st peter and st paul- which is the church where our kids got christened and where we are getting married 6) queen elizabeth- which is the hospitial where our kids where born
so they all mean something really important to us xx

H2b is going with sweets all the way or probably Chelsea players if he had his way too!! I'm loving the ideas it's really tough now. So funny about the cuddly toys you know after a few free glasses of vino adults will get them in positions lol.

We are naming ours after our favourite F1 circuits we have been to like Silverstone, Magney Cours, Spa etc :-)

When one of my friends recently got married she named her tables after the most famous hotels in Las Vegas because thats where her and her husband got engaged. I loved that idea!

My H2B want to name the tables after areas on the shipping forecast... I can't quite see people wanting to sit at Dogger or German Byte. This is what I get for falling for a weather man! LOL :-)

We having a "chocolate" theme, so our tables will be loose chocolates ie. minstrels, maltesers etc... and then each chocolate in the favors :)

Oh lord something else you ladies have reminded me about lol.. I think we are going for golf courses as we are getting married at a Country Club and the H2B is golf mad, however I am a Tarot Reader/ Medium so I would like to name them after Angels!!! However we are both mad footie fans, him a Portsmouth fan me a Liverpool fan and seen as how I will be sorting them I think we would have the top table as Anfield HAHAHA!!!! Decision Decisions lol.. I am loving some of your idea's ladies!

We're having names of Ski resorts as that's where we met and where we got engaged. Plus most of our friends and family love skiing too so it seems fitting!
