we are having 2 paige boys at our wedding one is my newphew and the other is our son, we are involving our son more in the wedding buy letting him be the ring bearer aswel but im just curious as to what happens with the rings? am i supposed to tie them to the cushion at home and expect my 4 year old not to loose them on the way to church? or do they get tied on when we get there? who looks after them until then? and once he is down the isle does he keep hold of them until the exchange or will they be taken of him? confused!

I was thinking about this too. My son is 9. What I was thinking to do was have a ring pillow with rings tied on, which would be given to my MOH to look after until the venue, then when we are gong to walk down the aisle, she hands it to him and he walks down aisle to give to my OH best man. Who then will take rings off pillow. Pillow can then be put aside. Just an idea so far, not discussed it with H2b lol.

thats what happened at sil2bs wedding, though i am putting fake rings on mine, and having the bestman already have our rings. my son is going to be 2, so unpredictable at the best of time and i think he will try and take the rings off lol
then also no worries if he decides to keep hold of the cushion or lose it half way down the aisle (saw a friends 5 year old do that, amusing for us. not for her lol)

i would leave the fake ones on that come with the pillow and have your page boy pass to your OH's best man who will already have the rings in his pocket

My son is 6, I'm going to have our proper rings tied on the pillow, he is so excited at the thought of looking after mam & dads rings and keeping them safe down the aisle. He knows he has to then hand them over to his uncle (the best man) My OH is staying at our venue the night before with our son so he will look after them until our son comes to meet me when I get there.x
About to marry the man of my dreams

thats a good idea Mrs Mann - either that or have someone respinsible to supervise them. x

Am I meant to have a ring bearer? There are so many things I haven't even thought about!! I have 2 flowergirls and am slowly being pressured into a page boy (long story!) but I thought the BM and MOH would have the rings???

Best man is usually in charge of rings, I thought.

No Crawf you don't have to have a ring bearer if you don't want to. Legobride - it is usually tradition for the best man to be in charge of them.

no you dont have to have a ring bearer usually the best man looks after them but with us having a son this is a way we can include him more in the wedding x
