We are personally, both of us are quite nervous and I think we will get a lot more sleep in our own bed and together. After telling some friends I've had a few chins hit the floor and 'Oh my god, you can't do that!!' Just wondered if anyone else is or thinking about it?

Were staying together too. Originally it was planned that he would spend the night away at his grandads house but they have long haired dogs and smoke and he doesnt want to smell of smoke or be covered in dog hairs, and he hates sleeping in beds that arent ours. So we've decided that he will stay at home til 8 in the morning for when hes getting kicked out of the house.

Well originally he was going to spend the night before at his mums but it seemed silly uprooting my 2 boys as well for one night. I don't think I'm going to get much sleep but I think I will feel more comfortable with him being with me as I know, out of everyone, he is feeling exactly the same as me!

We stayed together the night before. It was so nice in the morning for us both to share our excitement. We had breakfast together the when my daughters and myself went to the hairdressers we stayed so different rooms until we met at church.
I wouldn't of had it any other way.

I am staying at our venue with my daughter and moh the night before the wedding. It was my h2b who insisted that we couldn't spend the night before together,it wouldn't bother me so long as he left before i got my dress on! However i can now see the benefit as i know that i would just get stressed at home and would take it out on him or start cleaning neither of which i want to do the night/morning before the wedding lol xxx

We have a bit of a strange one. We are technically getting married at the register office on Friday but we are having a church blessing on Saturday. So, we are spending the night before the wedding apart but the night before the blessing together as it will still be our wedding night and there was no way we were going to spend THAT apart.

We are staying together. After living together for 15 years I don't really believe the superstition.....LOL
I will be leaving the house first to drop the dog off at the kennels on the way, then on to the hotel to get ready there, and he will leave for the registry office straight from home. Hopefully we will end up at the same place at 2pm.....LOL

This is pretty much the only thing we're sticking to! Although it's quite annoying when people tell you "you can't do that" like you've committed some almighty sin. I get it a lot with H2B seeing my dress and we're actually both quite nervous for someone else to lace me into it on the day! I think it'll be fun not to see each other till the moment we get married though :)

its a daft superstition really anyway, dates back to arranged marriages when if the groom saw the bride beforehand and didnt like her he'd run off, hence the bad luck

I mentioned having a week apart before hand, but I'm not sure we could cope with that haha

We ended up having an actual argument (we don't argue) about who got to stay where on the night before the wedding as we both wanted to stay at home but we both wanted to keep to the tradition of not seeing each other until the church.

I won, I got to stay at home and the H2B is staying elsewhere, not sure where at the moment, probably with one of the best men I'm guessing.

We were in a hotel in Gretna but had separate rooms. Didn't make a lot of difference really though as we were at the pub with some of the wedding party til the early hours - but it helped the next morning when we couldn't see each other (we got married at 2.45pm).

We're getting married 200 miles from home and are sleeping separately. In going to be in the hotel with my mum and bridesmaids and MOH, h2b is going to stay with his best man who lives local to the registry office.

Mainly we're doing it this way because he wants to spend one time with his bestman and groomsmen and I want to spend the morning relaxing. If we were together, he would be trying to get me involved in his entertainments (paint balling and camping) when I have plans for a therapeutic soak and pamper session. Not that I'm against paint balling and camping in general, but before the wedding is not the best time, lol.
