Just found out my Dad has broken his scaphoid bone in his right hand and will be in plaster for the wedding- not only is he the DJ and making the cake but he won't be able to get his suit on!
Guess my Mum and I will quickly have to learn how to ice wedding cakes (he's already made the cakes thankfully!) and my brother will have to take over the DJing. No idea what he's going to wear now but am hoping he'll be out of plaster and in a splint by the time the wedding comes round.
I've sorted out a hairdresser last minute after mine cancelled and I've pretty much sorted out my leave from work after they put me on 12 consecutive nightshifts over the wedding, hen do and honeymoon despite 7 months notice- so I'm sure we'll sort this little blip too. Dad seems fine anyway, that's main thing! Seeing as this is what I do for a living, very frustrating that I can't just get something sorted for my own Dad!

Hope your dad is ok, this wedding lark is a right roller coaster ride is'nt one minute everything going great then your thrown a spanner right in to everything. I'm sure you'll cope everyone will rally round. Your dad can still supervise the icing even if he cant actually do it himself. Good luck with everything and keep us posted x
