    Hello

Im not sure where to post this as there isnt a "venue" topic.

Im planning to get married next year.

What i want to find out is if anyone knows of any venues in my area (Bucks, herts, oxford) where i can do my own catering. As all the food is way too expensive in the venues ive looked at.
But i cant find any websites that show venues that let you do own catering.

    Thanks

    Katie x

Ours is in Liverpool, but they don't let you do your own, they had a list of 5 approved caterers to work on site, then we contacted them all and got quotes for their standard food packages then agreed a bespoke menu with one at almost half the price - maybe some venues near you have this set up too?

Village halls etc will allow you. There are some very pretty ones out there. When looking at external caterers you will need to cost in linen hire, crockery and cutlery hire, possibly glass hire. It's not always the cheapest way of doing it - as we've just found out!! Local golf clubs are worth looking at too.

Another option is to look at venues that do their own catering, but allow a BBQ/hog roast, this is usually less expensive.

i had a hard job finding somewhere that would let us do our own catering as didnt want to pay £10+ pp just for an evening buffet. we eventually found a social club. alot of places wont let you as they lose money which is harsh really as there making money from the alcohol
