I'm having my h2b's sister as one of my bridesmaids. 2 weeks ago she decided she wants to start tryin for a baby and basically she wants one ASAP. My problem is that, as shes one of my bridesmaids, when do i start shopping around for the dresses? My sister is the other bridesmaid and is really keen to at least have a look at whats out there but i dont see the point as I'm worried I'll find nice dresses but not be able to get them until I know whether my my sil2b will be pregnant or not! I also dont want to leave it too close to the wedding cos I'm scared of having to 'settle' on soething im not completely happy with.
(I realise my wedding is still a while away but I'm tryin to put some plans in motion as in, what to do and when!)

Empire lines will be good for her if she is still pregnant or just had the baby. The best thing to do is ask your bridal shop for advise. It all depends on when she falls pregnant to what is best to do. Maybe pick out the styles now but not order them until the latest you can order from the shops.

My SIL2B had a 7month pregnant bridesmaid and they chose a strapless maxi dress for all of the bridesmaids as they were all different shapes/sizes. Worked really well cos the material was also slightly stretchy xx

It really depends on when she is pregnant cuz if she has had the baby before you get married then you don't have to worry about her having been pregnant so much. Plus any of your bridesmaids could lose or gain weight up until the wedding so is best to leave it till about 6 months before the big day - she ought to get cracking with the shacking lol :P x

    thanks everyone!
I know she still wants to be a bm if shes pregnant, it was one of the first things she asked me after she told me she wanted to start trying. I guess if she has it before, then her partner will look after it on the day but i dont really know. I'm seeing her at the weekend so I'll be able to talk to her and see what shes thinking

i no longer have a pregnant bridesmaid, but i did so i enquired. At bridal shops they do maternity dresses and they also do matching for non pregnant bridemaids just not in the maternity range :) If you want to go shopping now there is no harm, if u find one make sure u ask when ranges go discon so u can call them to see if that dress is staying or going. I would try not to order until you have to, again ask in the shop as they will tell u when the latest date u need to order by is xx

Is now happily married to my gorgeous man

stay as late as you can cause otherwise you might find that non-pregnant BM who was a size ten, has got into a new relationship, gained loads of weight AND got preggers. Lots can happen in a 16months!!
no reason you cant look, of course look!! but i woudlnt advise buying yet, not yet.
    Good luck <3 x

You could also think about your bms wearing different dresses when chosen carefully this can look good

Thanks for all the ideas girls, she says cos shes comin off the cigs, it'll be Aug before she starts tryin so im none the wiser, in fact, its more likely she'll be pregnant for the wedding but I know there are good maternity ranges and I like the idea of grecian style!! Feeling a bit better bout it but it'll just be pushed nearer the end of the list of things to do :)
