I dont know if its maybe too far but I know Shrigley hall have a £5000 package. I'm not sure what it includes but its a lovely venue. We were thinking of using there but decided it was a bit too big and grand for our little wedding so changed to Hollin Hall.

They're having a wedding fair a week on Sunday (22nd) if you want to go and have a nosey!

We are getting married at crewe Hall and so depending on numbers you can get it for 6 to 8. The minimum for about 5.5-6.0k Is 50 day guests and 80 evening guests for a weekend i.e. fri or sun.

Other than that there are some venues for about 4k like craxton wood hotel, mollington banastre or oooooo I forgot, its not a castle but has a castle backdrop and its crabwall manor for about 3.5k so check them out x

cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo
    start weight 10st 1.5 lbs
    weight now 8st 4.5 lbs
total loss to date: 24.5 lbs now need to maintain!

in north wales there is saughton hall for similar prices to chester or the grosvenor pulford but you can find better for the prices they charge. They were going to charge us quite a bit which I think they made a mistake because their packages are not that expensive so not sure what went on there.

Do you have any objections to it being a Friday etc? I know one of my friends from work has got Crewe hall on a great deal. It's a friday out of season.

How about the hunters lodge? Thats nice we have been for xmas lunch two years running.

We had massive task trying to find somewhere in cheshire. Some of the very beautiful venues are just so expensive over £10.000 for some! Or they weren't right for us. We really wanted an old hall, with gardens and h2b was very clear that he wanted the ceremony room to be special and grand (he wanted to get married in a church). It was just one extreme or another I fell in love with wrenbury hall, stunning venue and is possibly within budget if you have smaller numbers between 50-60 in the day and then on the other hand some of the other venues just weren't what we were looking for :( a few of the larger venues couldn't promise us exclusivity so there could be up to 3 possibly 4 wedding going on in one day in some places. I think it would crush me to see another bride on my wedding day at my venue. We nearly gave up hope but someone said to go and see Keele Hall which is just the other side of Crewe and Nantwich and is actually classed as Staffordshire. Its within a university campus but it is stunning with beautiful landscaped gardens and the hall is amazing and a really good price. We have 93 guests in the day and up to 150 during the evening. For the use of three massive rooms all day and food, drinks etc its costing us £6800. The website doesnt do it justice go and see it!!! xx

Have a look at Reaseheath college too. A lot cheaper than most venue's, but only available at certain times.

I used to live near keele its a lovely area parents are still there :) my h2b said when we got engaged the wedding needs to be either in the middle or closer to his parents as mum doesn't travel well..

I've visited a couple of hotels like MacDonald portal in tarporley and Wincham hall but not quite got that ooo factor im after. I like character.. Will just have to go to every venue possible until I get that feeling.. :)

I know of a pretty place that costs a little over £1000 for ceremony and reception but it depends on number of guests. Want info?

Theres another place that caters for more guests but is around £6000.

We've booked The Stanneylands Hotel in Wilmslow, they do "all inclusive" package deals where you get car, cake, photographer, flowers etc included in the price. We've found though that the flowers and centrepieces are a lot more expensive with the florist included in the deal than if you went eslewhere. Good thing with this venue (unlike a couple we saw that had similar packages) you can swap, change, add , remove etc any of the deals they include in the package! So far we've got rid of the car and wont be using the florist either. x
