I have finished the prototypes for my place settings and my favour boxes :-) There are photos in my "centrepiece and favour" album and I would appreciate it very very much if you lovely ladies could let me know what you think.
I need to trim the stems on the place settings and learn some fancy writing for peoples names. The boxes I made from an old cereal box and some sheet music. Ive used the gingham ribbon on the box but I am using plain black ribbon when I get some. Also the ribbon is different on the favours and place names because I got nicer ribbon (the one on the flowers) so I'll be using that one all round :-)
The wee box with the feather didnt really go right so ignore that one lol but please please please could you have a wee look and tell me what you think? They are prototypes so the finished ones will be better :-)

Thank you everyone, its dead easy to make the triangular ones :-) you can use pages from an old book aswell. I just measured a square and then measured the same distance(as one side of the sqaure) to the point from the middle of each side. Then I just joined the lines diagonally and it seemed to work pretty well :-)
I want to post photos on facebook cos Im dead excited and H2B isnt very excited about girly stuff like I am :-) I was trying to talk to him last night and he wasnt even pretending to be interested! :-(

rocky (can i all you that?? lol) my h2b is the same. he actually doesn't care about stuff like that and fakes a 'well done' every now and again. he thinks a wedding is only about outfits, rings, cake, booze and food. everything else is unnecesssary crap lol

Same here, I was looking forward to posting my pictures on here cos Mum and H2B said they were nice but they never sound over enthusiastic about anything. PLus H2B had hurt his back last night so he was a right grump. I wouldnt mind cos back pain is horrible but he wouldnt even take pain killers! MEN! lol

Ahhhhh! I have invitations to send out still!! Gathering addresses as we speak and ready to post the last of the invites tomorrow. Apparently its "supposed" to be 6 weekds before the wedding but weve been struggling to find time to do stuff together. Most of the evening folk I need H2B to get addresses for. Thankfully he is off work today and doing the last of address finding to get invites done and dusted tonight :-)
Once that is done it'll be a huge weight of my shoulders :-)

Hey girls, just back from lunch :-) Dani - the birdcages are from my H2Bs work - we borrowed them as we are on a tight budget and they are from the old decor in his shop. Theyve also given us wee white feathers and a big bag of pearls (fake ones obviously lol) - saving us a lot of cash :-)
Anni, I had them sitting around since last July and was starting to think I had no idea what to do with them. Was thinking of using them as favours but we got 40 bags of sweeties from Thortons for a tenner - left over from valentines day. So i thought ill just use the flowers as place settings and make a wee box for the sweeties :-)
Hayley - the wee wooden hearts are from the bay of e. I got 30 for about £7 :-) They are really nice quality as well
So happy you guys like them, I cant wait to get started :-)

Thank you :-) I was going to use book pages but I mustve seen a sheet music one somewhere cos it was in my mind. Ive got loads of old sheet music from old exams and stuff so plenty that will never be used again :-)
I am still experimenting a wee bit but I will post more photos once Ive decided on a final design :-)
We're off to regsiter the marriage today!! ARRRRGGGHHHHH!!! Exciting!
