Hi guys I was just wondering if you guys are hiring cars and for who? I know I want one to arrive in with my dad then leave in with my husband but not sure who else gets one? The bridesmaids go with the mother of the bride is that right? And I need one for Dave obviously. Do I need to get his parents one to arrive in? I can see the price sky rocketing!

we are just getting one for me as the church is across road from my mum's. Kev will just come with his dad. The reception isn't mega far from the church so we are not hiring as it works out to expensive

Generally I believe bridesmaids and mother of the bride go together, and then bride and father of the bride. Groom makes his own way there, possibly with his parents. Then after wedding, bride and groom in one car and bridesmaids with mother and father.

We are doing it a bit different, me and bridesmaids going from home, groom going with his parents and best man from his parents house. My mum and step dad making own way there. So I have ordered just two cars, and to be honest that was enough to spend! £575.

Well we are just having one for me and my dad and one for H2B and best man. My mum is driving herself and the flower girls, one of the BM's are driving the BM's. H2B's inlaws was expecting us to provide transport for them but no way can we afford it. So they are getting taxis.

We've hired just one car. As everything is local the car is picking up groom and bestmen and dropping at church, picking up my male bridesmaids then dropping off, coming back for female bms and mum and finally dad and me. Four trips with the one car but they haven't charged any extra for the extra journeys. We were just cheeky enough to ask! :-D

I am having 2 cars one to take bridesmaids to the church, one for me and dad and H2B going up with his dad and bestman. Then the bestman and bridesmaids will get into one car to go to the venue and then me and h2b in the other car. Dad is either going to go with H2Bs dad to the venue or get on the bus that is hired to transport people to the church and then back to the hotel.
    x x xx

My dad asked me the other day how i was getting there, told him im driving my put put (dont think he was too happy bout that) but seeing as im home the night before and i have atleast 5 kids to transport with me down there it may well end up being a large taxi but its all good :) Am definitely not spending money on bridal cars when i can get a txi for 15 quid (yes im a cheap skate)
