hi everyone, I was considering paying to get a back drop for behind our head table and I was just hoping to get some opinions.

the quote i have been given is £200 which seem pricey for some cloth but it is what it is. My thoughts are, yes it may look prettier but it really won't change our day at all whether or not it is there. I'm thinking i would prefer that £200 for extra honeymoon funds.

That being said I am torn as I know it will look nicer in photos and once the day is over all we have are the photos.

    any advice/opinions are appreciated :)

Honestly unless the wall is hideous I would spend the money elsewhere

Agree with the others unless there's something on the wall you want to hide or the wall is horrible colour or needed re done, then don't bother if you don't want it don't get it.

The check I always do is the "I can't have this due to supplier not having it available how do I feel" - if I don't care I don't need it if it really upsets me then I need it and have to shop about for best price. Helps me to know what I really want and if not having it isn't my choice then I know how I feel.

that's actually a good idea Erin as if they told me it wasn't possible to get that I really wouldn't care!

that will be a good thing to keep in mind :) Thank you x

No worries glad to have helped.

it's a neat way to decide where funds need to go and allows you to budget accordingly at the end of it it's you & your OH's day so spend on what you want not on what you think guest want.

I am making mine. I spent £50 on the fabric + £20 on the lights. I'm making a 4.8 meters wide and 3.5 meters high. I've got 9 meters for the width of the curtain (so we can make it look nice). It's way cheaper and I can always sell it after.

camila i did think of doing that but the venue told me it needed to be a free standing structure and i don't trust myself to make it safe enough not to fall on a child! x
