KeyleighA you could look for a cottage or log cabin that has a jacuzzi (some even have private pools) and then you have the best of both worlds being able to explore in the day and sit in the hot tub with a glass of wine in the evening. We looked at one for a mini-moon and I just searched "cottage with hot tub UK" and lots of options came up. Maybe try something like 0wners D!rect. X

    Hi Kayleigh

Myself and OH found the most amazing place earlier this year, which I took him to for his birthday. It's in North Devon, but in such a tranquil setting: hot tub in the wood, jacuzzi bath, little wooden BBQ hut for two and the owners are wonderful. I'll see if I can post a link to your wall.

We aren't having a honeymoon straight afterwards but we have agreed to a mini break to either Rome, Paris or to see the northern lights. Once we do go on our honeymoon we will be doing four days in Vegas as he loves the place and then onto Jamaica as we fell in love with the island the first time we went three years ago. X

Hey ladies, I am in the travel industry, I am a specialist in travel/tourism and I have been a travel agent for a long time. If I can help with any travel questions please ask, I would love to help!

Me and My Fiance are getting married in Prague, so we are looking for a luxury country hotel outside of Prague to relax and have spa days in. We have found a few amazing ones, it is so hard to choose! We will be struggling to leave the hotel room lol. If we can, we would go to the Maldives, he wants to be a scuba diver and I am already qualified, we would go diving together and book a private beach hut :)

Leanne, I think it all depends on what you find relaxing and romantic. The Maldives is a great destination because of thew accommodations available for couples. the beaches and the tropical climate. Lots of diving, cuddling on the beaches and swimming in warm seas. What is your perfect holiday? What is your Fiance's perfect holiday?

Wundatigga - I hope you can persuade him! It would be such a shame to not have a honeymoon after such a special day, what makes you say he does not do "holidays"?

We would really like a swim up room or a water villa, a resort that is beautiful with nice food and nice walks on the beach. I am happy sitting in the sun reading a book with a cocktail with the odd swim, bit of pampering, OH would like all that too but with some activities such as water sports/snorkling. What you think? x

He's just not that type of guy, he gets bored really quickly! We have managed to take the kids on a few UK camping trips for a couple of days over the last few years but I still have to find things for him to do!

I would love to go somewhere a bit further afield. I'd love a bit of luxury - a spa break maybe, somewhere quiet but with touristy places to explore nearby.

I don't even mind waiting a couple of months after the wedding to go as August will be real expensive/busy! We shall see though!

We are going to Gran Canaria - we are getting married in November (next year) but the weather is still plenty warm enough to swim in the sea. There is also a diving school near to where we stay (Puerto Rico). Not taking a holiday this year as we are putting the money towards the wedding. Usually cost us around £900 all in with about another £300 in spending money etc

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

Leanne, from what you are saying I think the Maldives would be perfect for you both! Where did you get your holiday price quotes from?

Wundatigga - from what you say I think a city break would be great for you and your OH. Cities allow for loads of different things to do and they are so much fun. There are amazing spas in Budapest, Karlovy Vary and Germany, I know an excellent one in Berlin if you ever head there :) Budapest would be a good one because it is so cheap there, the spas are amazing and the city is stunning. Beneath the city there are limestone caves if you fancy caving too. In August there is a music festival in Budapest, as long as you avoid that you would be fine (hotels get booked up, prices up ect). You could look at booking an apartment if you go to cities, it may be a great option for you all :) If you want quiet you could look at booking a cabin/lodge in the Black Forest, that would be lovely :) Would the kids be going with you? Fuerteventua is a good option for quiet too, but I am not sure about spas and luxury there.

My ideal honeymoon destination would be the Maldives - but OH isn't that fussed, and it's A LOT of money to spend on something he isn't that fussed about!!! I think it ruins it for him because I've already been there, so it wouldn't be something we would be discovering together for the first time.

We wanted to go on honeymoon straight after our wedding, so due to the time of year that automatically crossed off places like the Maldives and a lot of your other "typical" honeymoon destinations. We also didn't want to put too much financial pressure on ourselves in a short space of time - as obviously lots of our wedding payments are due around now, and our final honeymoon balance is due mid-March. As it turns out, we would have only paid £800 ourselves towards honeymoon due to FIL contributing - and any money we get given from guests will go back into the honeymoon pot to cover costs.

We decided on Greece in the end, so we compromised a little on the destination but we went all out with the room/hotel/all inclusive package, so it will still be special and have that honeymoon feel!! In total it came to just under £2,800 for 10 nights.

We have discussed saving after the wedding for more of a once in a lifetime holiday together (before we have kiddies) xx

We're having a familymoon a few days after the wedding and taking our daughter to D1sneyl@nd P@r1s, figured us getting married is about us becoming an "official" family so it's important she's involved in the celebrations (might be a little bit for me too as it is my fav place on earth). We're then looking at h2b and I going somewhere exotic just the 2 of us at a later date. Thinking somewhere like Bora Bora, we have a friend that lives in New Zealand so looking into having her book it for us as it's considered a local flight so can work out a good couple of thousand cheaper, so we would fly to NZ spend a couple of days there with her then head on to the islands for a couple of weeks. Still just ideas atm so nothing set in stone yet
