I'm with d3bs too. Got a £10 gift card at the time and also £10 cash back through a cash back website, so should have cost me £36 but really cost me £16 :)

It is good for piece of mind, especially when you have paid a lot in deposits. It's not a must have though. It depends how confident you are that no supplier will let you down and how much financially you could lose if they do let you down.

I don't know how it works properly! Are you meant to insure it for the full cost of the wedding incase of cancellation so the price for everything venue, entertainment etc? If so I'll have to get quite a high end One which seems a shame because the lowest band would cover all the other costs!

I think so. We got one covering up to £25k if I can remember rightly. There's so many out there you need to decide what you want out of it.

When I have my week off from 25th Oct I'm gonna have to go on an insurance search and report back where only spending a maximum 2grand is it still worth the insurance

Always worth the insurance IMO. You have to imagine if the worst happened - what if your venue went bust or burned down or something?

Kerry, You can only take it out 2 years before the wedding date (so for you 14/02/2016) and make sure you get one that covers deposits and purchases made before the 2 years

My dress veil and tiara and jewellery and shoes all together cost no more than £80 so I not too fussed about that I haven't payed any deposits or payments yet don't plan on doing that till I pay the deposit for my venue etc which won't be till after March 2016 as that's when their pricing comes out x

We went with D383nh4m5 too. Did toy with the idea of having it / not having it but didn't want to take the risk in the end! They give you a voucher as a gift too although you do have to use it pretty quickly :-)
