Born and raised in Plimmuff (that's Plymouth to you non-Janners) then lived in a few places in Cornwall from 18-20 before moving back home 7 years ago. H2B was born and raised here but has also lived in Watford and Slough before moving back to Plymouth 6 months before we got together. xxx

It's a bit similar to thai.... thing is majority of people who lives in malaysia are chinese and malays so you could also say it's a bit similar to chinese (but 1000x better than the takeaways and restaurants here!). But traditional malaysian food is similar to thai where in they use these fresh, really full of flavour herbs. I'm getting hungry just thinking about food I used to eat there lol. Been in Thailand too and love their food! You can say both Thai and Malaysian food are on the spicy side :D

I am starting to open up my tastebuds to spicier food. I used to only eat kormas or passanda when we had curry but now I will eat curries which have 2 little chillies to show how hot it is. xx

I love spicy food and love putting bird's eye chilli on a condiment or sauce when I eat but I must admit I have to be in a mood to eat Indian food. I find they all taste really similar and very heavy... I don't know if it's just 'cos takeaways here do tend to do a shortcut (even on chinese food) so they don't end up doing the proper dish like how it really is made if they were made back home. I can't tell the taste difference between a jalfrezi, balti and tikka.. colour is different.. spice may vary a bit but it taste the same to me lol x

I know what you mean. A friend gave me the recipe for a run of the mill curry and I make it completely from scratch but I think it tastes quite bland. I usually put coconut milk instead of water in it to give it a bit more flavour but even then it's nothing special. xx

i hav a proper curry from scratch recipe if u want ( apna style-asain style that means) its cum from a proper indian chef ( and i make it but then add extras 2 how we like it) its gorg! every 1 luvs it! even made on ewiv left over turkey at xmas lol

Lol Sophie Jane, my h2b is like that too, and one of my best friends. H2b's dad was in the army and my friend's dad was in the RAF. They have both lived all over the country and abroad and haven't ever settled.

I was born in Swindon, moved to germany, then granthem, then gibralter, then colchester, then london, then wiltshire, back to germany back to wiltshire and am now in peterborough and have been for the past 8 nearly 9 years hehehehe (spot the army brat/wife).
