We have nearly finalised our menu so can make our invites soon and just wondered when should we send them out? As we need to get people food choices back for the day, I'm not sure how long they will take to make but hoping to get them made up soon as. Would sending them beginning of February ( if I can get them made by then) be too early? And how long should I give them to rsvp? As don't want it be too short but if too long worry people might leave it to rsvp and forget x

For my late December wedding I plan on sending my day invites out beginning of July for end of August RSVP. I will then send out more day invites to my reserve list if original invited guests decline the invite beginning of September with a begging of October RSVP. This should give me plenty of time to sort out table plans, chase menu choices etc. Evening invites will go out beginning November with a beginning December RSVP. Hopefully this works as well in practice as it does in theory lol

We sent our invitations over the weekend and we're getting married mid-June, so about 5 months in advance. We've given an RSVP date of 18th April which gives us just under 2 months to chase people if we need to - our venue need final numbers no later than 14 days prior to the wedding. It might be worth checking out when your venue needs final numbers by as well.
Definitely wouldn't be too early to send them out in Feb.

We are sending ours in March, 4 months prior to the big day but our venue needs final numbers 28 days before.... That gives our guests 3 months to RSVP plus it gives me a month to chase

I'm sending my invites out in the next couple of weeks for my August wedding. I know it's early but I need to know who's coming before I buy certain things and my wedding is bank holiday weekend xx

For our STDs we could get 4 out of 1 sheet if A4 so naturally got a couple of spares. For invites think we will make however many we need plus a couple for us to keep. Can always make more if we need to

We sent ours out almost four months before the big day (beginning Dec - married end of Mar). I still had to chase people for rsvps/menu options. That gave me two weeks to chase people so they could mess about a bit longer, and then two weeks to get all my final figures in to our venue. Hope this helps.

Mrs C thinking about it are you hand writing the names on? If you are I would make 10% spares just in case

What I would say is print an extra couple to practice on too - we hand wrote the names on but I found the first pen I wanted to use didn't write very well on the shiny card at all and looked really naff! xx

Glad I found this I myself was going to start a chat on when to send out invites. Making a few extra sounds like a good idea too. Xx

I get married 11th June and sent invites out 2 weeks ago. They included a menu choice and I've put a RSVP date of 1st April so it gives us plenty of time to chase people up. Evening invites have been going out since last week. Will be hand delivering the rest this week.
