I have tried searching, but most of the hair trial threads seem to be peoples photos and experiences from their hair trials.

My question is, when is the best time to try for hair trials? I have chosen my dress, but not BM dresses yet, and I think I want to see their dresses to encounter how they have theirs before I chose how I have mine?

    What are you ladies doing?xxx

I'm having my hair and make-up people coming next Tuesday which will be the 1st November around six weeks before the big day. I like you hadn't a clue but it was the hairdresser that suggested around six weeks before, so yes you are maybe being slightly too keen!! lol

    :-)

hmmm, probably gunna need to travel up there or have someone travel to you for the trial I would think. Unless you use two different people and take hunners of photos. I'd rather use the same person though, just incase.

My friend who is my hairdresser wanted me to have my first trial all the way back in about April time! I said no that time! I ended up with 3 trials (because I didn't like how she did it the first time), so the first was in late July, the second in early September and the third was just last week.

Is your hairdresser travelling up to the lake district from your area, or are you using one there? Really, your trial should be done with the person who will be doing your hair, so you will need to go wherever the hairdresser is!

Mine is three days before my wedding.
I wanted it to be exactly the same colour (as I dye my hair) and length as it will be on the day for the hairdresser.

I had mine the day before as we got married in Vegas and I couldn't afford to fly over just for a trial before then LOL! I liked it being that close though as my hair was the right colour and length. Hx

Where abouts are you getting married in the Lake District? As obviously that's where we are getting married as it's where we live :-P. Just thought that I could recommend my hairdresser to you. She is a mobile so no salon and very affordable maybe you could arrange to meet somewhere in between the two points or tie your trial in with a time when you'll need to visit the venue again.

I was told whenever really. I am contemplating around xmas time but they recommend for your hen so you get the benefit of being done up. I am away in York on my hen so that is impossible for me unless I do a mini one back in Chester when I come back. I think it just depends when you think it will be worthwhile. Just dont do it too soon or you may change your mind and need to pay for more trials

I used to live in Shotton until we moved to Ellesmere Port :) Went to John summers which was a naff school so good job we did move or I would have failed my GCSE's lol

My hair is being done by my normal hair dresser James Gladwin. I cant say the shop name on here but if you know where Rufus court is in Chester, hes in that salon there. Dreading his quote for hair but I dont mind paying that as I know it will be fab and he does look after me very well. He is looking at a girl he worked with on an Italian wedding who lives local to Chester so he is going to see if he can get her into the salon this week for FREE to do a quick mini trial :)

    Who are you using?

is this the one with the hotel or a separate one? Sometimes I wish id paid for a proper wedding coordinator for things like this and stationary that I know nothing about but then I have done so much myself and they would still take a cut from that. Is it true it is 10-20% of the total cost of the wedding regardless if they have helped in that part or not? if thats true I couldn't afford it. However, would have been fun going round with someone and not annoying mob or BMs as often hehe.

my dentist was in connash quay haha

I had mine a couple of months before the wedding to find that it didn't last very long so had to have another one using a wand to curl it and that time it did stay in. I wouldn't leave it too close to the wedding just in case you find out you don't like the styles or like me your hair didn't stay put for long.

This is why I put my hairdresser as a guest. I get on well with him anyways but this way he is around and has agreed to help if the hair falls down due to wind, cousin, crying aunties hugging etc.

i went for a general hair cut yesterday so asked my hairdresser for advice,
she said to me probably best 4-5 months before then another a month before to make sure the style is still the one you want :)

i am going to the hairdressers the morning of the wedding as i think i will need to get away from the stress in my house and just sit down and enjoy being pampered on my big day.

All my bridesmaids are also going to their own hairdressers on the morning of the wedding so there is no stress of 1 hairdresser trying to rush to get us all done in time and so everybody can chillax before the big moment comes!

    i hope this helps x
