Hi, when is it normal for the groom and groomsmen to go and get measured for their suits? We have just over 9 weeks until we get married and the suit shop hasn't been in touch and my H2B keeps saying he will ring them to find out and hasn't. Should tey have been to have them measured yet? Starting to panic

From what I've seen from others, normally it's about 12 weeks before generally so I'd get calling them!

We booked with them last year, like around this time last year. My bridesmaids dresses are coming from the same shop (ran by husband and wife and in separate shops for male and female) And my dresses have been measured and have arrived and the girls just need to go try them on and make sure they don't need altering any more. They rang me to tell me so would have thought suits would be around the same time, at least before now :/

Yeah I would phone to double check. I'm going to have to get at least my brothers measured earlier then that as he is going to America for a few months before the wedding... if he misses his flight back I may actually kill him.

We got told that the grown men could have theirs measured anytime, but the bs had to be about two/three weeks prior to the date in case of any growth as we hired them

Well my H2B and the other men went and got measured at the weekend. When he rang they said they were just flicking through the paper work and were about to call. The boys have to go back 2 weeks before the date in case they have a growth spurt

I can't remember when we're meant to be sending the boys to get their suits fitted.
My fiancé will be doing his with his best man, so whenever they can get together to be fitted really. Possibly around May time, maybe just before the stag... my brother will also be measured in May as he goes to America for a couple of months then
Oh has just said he thinks the guy said 6 weeks before for suit fitting, but I think he's confused and it might be little one that needs to get measured 6 weeks before-as I know they said a closer time for him then then men.

H2B is going to do suit measuring with my Dad a week on Saturday and he'll try and fit everybody else in in the next few weeks. He has had to contact the hire shop rather than the other way round

I think for us it was either 6 or 8 weeks before. If in doubt give the shop a call, they won't mind and it's better to play safe.

we have set up a sort my wedding outfit page and it emails all the people in the wedding party wearing suits, to get them to go book a fitting/and get measured, some may need extra reminders but its good for us to see who has gone and done it and who hasn't.

My H2b and his party are going for their first fitting 2 weeks today. They also want or usher who's 10 to go along as well so they can do a provisional fit. H2b just contacted the shop and asked them today.
