im just wondering what you have all found best to put in favour bags, a few people who ive spoke to have said no one really cares about the favours n will prob throw them away. im putting jars of sweets on the tables anyway should i put empty favour bags out for them to fill or put something extra in the bags. do people really plant seeds or throw them away? im on such a small budget aswell. Any ideas please x

Seeds are great as when people plant them; every time they flower; the guests can think of you.
But if you want to stick with the sweets idea then maybe provide a silver scoop on each table with the favour bags and a sign asking guests to help their selves or something.
We have miniature bottles of wine with a personalised label and chocs in an organza bag :)

if you are doing jars of sweets on the tables i wouldnt bother with favours, people will still have something to occupy themselves with your sweets!
We've got mint imperials in ours - they're nice and cheap and look quite classic which is why we chose them. xxx

I've always loved the favours at peoples wedding. I was given a small bottle of cranberry liquor at one wedding a few years a go and I still have it. I'm planning on making like cake truffles for my guests and I plan on putting little silver mask charms on as a keepsake (with a note to tell people to keep them! lol).

We've gone for chocolates - bought some little clear bags from the world of pound (sold as cake pop wrapping kit), popped a few chocs in these to keep them hygienic, then in or favour boxes. The world of pound also sells bags of mixed thorntons, so they're easy on the budget too.
We're doing sunflower seeds in little organza bags, very cheap to do and as MrsMalin2b says lovely sentiment while they watch them grow! In the past I've seen people get sugared almonds and love hearts, which at least people might eat, but some of the choices end up costing the couple a small fortune but individually are clutter that most people wont keep. Charity pins are always a good idea as well I think!

We are putting love harts in little orgzana bags. Bout if then are really cheap if u shop around. But if u are on a tight budget then I love the idea of giving them bags to fill. Maby u could put a little message on them to tell the guests to fill there bags with the sweets on the table. I would like that if I was at a wedding

Consider what time of year you are getting married. I'm getting married this month and I'm using candy corn and peanuts because of the halloween season. If it's around christmas you could do candy canes, christmas kisses, or christmas cookies. If it's in the spring or summer consider M+Ms in pastel or bright colors (you can order them custom made from their website), or any number of things. The color of the item doesn't matter too much because the bags are in your color scheme. But if you want to keep the color going in all aspects, consider regular hershey's kisses. They're wrapped in silver foil so that would match great.

People won't miss favours if you don't have them. If you are having sweets on the table you don't need additional favours xx
