I'm new on here and looking for some advise what to do next as I have no idea!

Me and my H2B have booked our venue for August 2017 and wrote our guest list but I want to start organising early as I know due to personal reasons that there will be obstacles in the way we're planning will need to be put on hold for a couple of weeks at a time only thing is I don't no what to do next?

Any help or advise would be greatly appritated

Best advice I can give is to write a to do list and then prioritise what's most important to do and what you can achieve now. I would start looking at florist and do list of what you want whether it's photos or writing it. And a photographer. Decide on food and then start budgeting too x

I would start with putting deposits down with suppliers first as they tend to get booked up quickly. So band/dj/any entertainment, transport if you're having it, photographer... then you can start chipping away at everything on your list :)

Hello, welcome to the UKBride family. Working out how much you have to spend is really important. I'd agree with Flossie about the things that book up. We booked photographer, videographer and car really early, and then DJ next.

    Hello and welcome :-)

First thing is to work out your budget. Then once you know that, start looking at venues. As others have said, suppliers tend to get booked up pretty quickly. We booked our photographer last night and got the last remaining date for 2016! The first thing we did was sort out the church, the venue, booked the cars and the photographer. We still need to find a DJ, but our venue has a wedding fair in a few weeks so we'll be going along to that. Check with your venue as they may have links to local suppliers who offer discounts - that's how we found our photographer. We ended up with 10% off the cost as he is a recommended supplier to our venue. Hope that helps - I am loving the planning. It's only as stressful as you want to make it!

Thank you all for all your advise I'm looking at photographers at the moment and we don't need cars and my mums friend will be doing chairs invitations ect and possibly flowers or I may do myself as I work at a florist and just about to start going to college to do a college course in floristry. I'm quite lucky that I know many people who work in the industry's that I need to plan my wedding x

Sounds like you have lots planned but I would have a back up plan for things that friends/family are doing for you for just Incase as things do change and not sure how long u have but even in 6 months things change. I originally had the plan of my oh long term gf to do my flowers as she was training as a florist but they had a Bad break up and I choose that it was best for everyone not to have her so had to find someone else which luckily I had a long enough to but I hear all these stories of ppl who are let down last minute. But hopefully that won't happen :) just nice to have an idea what others charge or can do Incase u need to look elsewhere x
