were having ours at 2 brought it froward from 3 as when i was going through the timings did not have enough time to dance in evening
the thing with a 12 ceremony, it means there sat there at lunch time then have to hang around for about 1/2/3 hours till they get any food.

We changed from 1.00 to 2.00 after going over timings with the venue, they were great help with this as we didn't want people to be waiting too long between the ceremony and evening do. Maybe talk to your venue as timings can vary with them catering for different amounts of people and also whether you are having drinks/canopy reception etc

Ours is at 12:30pm then photographs till 2:15pm then we are having our sit down meal at 2:30pm so not too long to wait except after the wedding breakfast but there isn't much we can do about that. The registrar only had 12:30pm free for the day we wanted so had to go with that one.

Our ceremony is at 1pm and will be finished by 1.30pm (civil ceremony). We're having group photos from about 1.45-2pm, then our drinks reception (during which OH and I will have our photos done) will start at 2pm.

We're hoping to be eating at about 3.30pm, and finished by about 5.15. There's then a gap until the evening reception starts at 7pm, and we'll be serving the evening buffet around 8pm-ish, after the first dance.

We didn't want a HUGE gap, but ideally I'd have liked a 12/12.30pm ceremony; ours will be relaxed enough, and we're fortunate in that our ceremony venue is a 2 minute walk from the reception venue, but it'd have been nice to have an extra 30 minutes to play with.

Our venue recommended 1 or 130 and to avoid a long wait for the wedding breakfast. When we booked with registrar we picked 1.30

Ours was originally 1, but we changed it to 2 when we decided to have a hog roast. So we have church ceremony at 2, finish by 3pm, group photos, off to venue for drinks for the guests for 3:30, then hog roast served at 5. There will be cake, sweets, candy floss and buffet for guests throughout the evening. We're not having day and evening guests, they'll all be together for the whole thing xx

Ours is at 1, but is a church ceremony so will be longer than reception weddings, so we wont be out of the ceremony until about 1.45 then photos at church til about 2.15, then we sit down at about 3.30, gives people time to travel, have a drink and mingle, while we have our photos done and then arrive xxx

Is it a church wedding? If so them it may be ok as u can have plenty if time for picks and time for traveling to the reception. If not then it may be a little to early as u don't wavy people to be hanging around lots. We are getting married at 2:30pm, having time for picks then eating at 4:30pm. I think think that will flow nicely. Xx

Ceremony starts at 2, meal an hour or so later depending on how long it takes the venue to turn the room around then the buffet is being brought out at 8 and the night draws to a close at midnight. I don't think 12 is too early... I've never seen anyone get bored at a wedding, hungry yes but not bored. Even if your guests do get bored, they're not going to just go home, they'll just head to the bar to top up their drinks until the DJ plays their favourite song.

We're getting married 1230 but church is 50 mins from venue, arrival at venue for 4pm, meal 430' evening guests from 7,
Still have to work out timings for pics etc. Guests will portion want to go check into their accommodation after the church so just had a thought of booking taxis at 350pm from each hotel and listing it on the order of the day that we'll give out at the church.
