Just wondered what time of day everyone is getting married? I'm torn between 1pm or 2pm!? We are have a civil ceromony with a reading so I know it won't be a long ceremony but don't want my day to be rushed either!? Any advice would be great Thanks

We are getting married at 3.30 even then it sounds like we dont have a huge amount of time when u add show makeup hair get every1 ready. Get my son n daughter rdy then myself! :-/

We have pulled our church service forward to 1.30 from 2pm because we needed more time to get to the reception venue.
My friend had a civil ceremony at 11am and we stayed in the same place for the whole day. It was a beautiful day but it was very long because the service was so short so there was quite a bit of waiting around. Just something to think of. X

We're getting married at 1.30 too, didn't want to have our ceremony too late in the day as want the day to last as long as possible lol.

We are getting married at 1pm but it's a church service so will last longer. But I have been thinking about moving it back to 12.30 as I think even 1 is quite late to start our day together if you know what I mean. We won't see each other before hand
We are getting married at 4.30 and going straight into the evening reception x

Either time would be good. We got married at 3pm, it was lovely as no rushing about in the morning, had plenty of time to get hair done etc etc etc.
Our wedding day - 6 October 2012

We had it booked at the church for 1.30pm but I was 20 minutes late. Either time you are thinking of would work.

Thanks everyone, we have a magician booked to come at 6 so I'm not sure if we will get everything done with the ceremony, pics, drinks reception, and the meal finished if we get married at 2!?!? Thanks for your advice

Sit down and write timings down for everything you want to fit into the day, that will give you an idea of the best time to start the ceremony.

We are getting married at 12pm. It's a church ceremony so will be about 45 mins then photos after. The venue is about 30 mins away so hoping to get there for 1:45/2pm. Hour of welcome drinks and photos then sit down meal at 3:30pm.

We're getting married at 2pm with a church ceremony then straight onto the venue for reception and party. I'm assuming everyone's already had lunch before the wedding by that time and we'll be opening the buffet around 5-6pm depending on how long the toasts and speeches go on for :)
Getting ready to marry my soul mate! :-D

We're getting married at 2. We could have had any time we wanted but I asked the venue what their preferred time was and they said 2, so that's what we went with :) xx

We are getting married at 2pm as to us it's not too early but not too late as I'm not a morning person so unless h2b wanted a grumpy bride we knew only the afternoon was better lol

We're getting married at 3pm with the meal starting at 5-5:30. Our ceremony isn't going to take long and we don't have a lot of group photos planned as we prefer natural and candids. Evening reception at 7pm.

Our will be 1.30pm oh wanted 12-12.30 but there isn't enough time for everyone to get ready so we've agreed on 1.30pm if I find our hair won't take as long closer to the time we may move it to 1 but no earlier lol x

we are having our church wedding at 12, this allows time for travel, drinks and photos before the wedding breakfast
CommentAuthorMyranny
We're getting married at 1, though it should have been 2 really as we've got makeup and hair for 5 of us that needs to be done. Hairdresser is starting at 8:30 a.m. and we have to leave at 12:15 to get down to the Waterside and get on the boat to arrive. Would like for it to have been a bit more leisurely.
How many people do you need to get ready before the ceremony, and how far away from where the ceremony is being held are you getting ready? xx
CommentAuthorMrsThomson2B
i am thinking 1.30/2pm. I will take my lead from my celebrant and venue regarding timings and what they need. My biggest concern is having to rush the meal xx
CommentAuthorLynneN78
Ours is booked for 1.30pm to allow time for everyone to get there and to give us plenty of time to enjoy the day. x

Sounds like the 13.00 to 15.00 time window is most popular for ceremonies x

Our registry office wedding is booked for 11 am then having lunch at a restaurant afterwards then our blessing is scheduled for 4pm which is a few days later for around 35 - 40 people. We are classing the blessing as the actual wedding, the registry is just all the legal stuff.
