I'm working down the aisle to the Pachelbel Canon, I think - there's a fabulous site called LINK REMOVED which has got loads of facts about it and its use in weddings, and I think it's perfect for me. Walking out to - well I don't know yet! Tina

thought we had decided ages ago what the music i would come down the aisle too but h2b let me into a little secret that when we were first meeting up and getting to know each other he kept listening to leona lewis a moment like this and it seemed to be playing everywhere he went ! cue blubbing (never realised what a crier i am til this wedding talk started!) he palyed me the song and i got goosebumps was so moved of how much he felt even back then that it will defiantely be my aisle song!! it also has a natural end after the chorus which would allow us to stop the music as i reach the front without cutting it in half so its just perfect!!
One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

I am so lucky our eldest daughter has a beautiful singing voice - she will be singing us all in. We've been together a long time and Shania Twain 'you're still the one' seemed perfect.
If our walk in turns out right - eldest daughter will sing as she walks in, then each BM, Page boy, then me and son should arrive just as she finishes song

I haven't thought of which song I'd like down the aisle, but when we walk out I've always pictured 'Sweet Disposition' by The Temper Trap. I did like the comment someone made about the Star Wars Imperial March… I've thought about doing that to get everyone laughing - maybe just have 15 seconds of it and then have the record scratch noise (like its being ripped off the record player) and cutting into the actual song I want to walk down the aisle to lol
CommentAuthorLynD
think we've chosen for sure now (this is one of the hardest things ever)... it had to be you - rod stewart
just got to finalise the rest of it hehe
CommentAuthorCatrinG2B
I know iv written here before but minds do change. I think atm I'm walking in to 'Marry Me' by Train. Signing the register with Yiruma 'River Flows in you' and to walk out, The Piano Guys instrumental 'without you'. H2B actually decided to have our first dance to Christina Perry 'Thousand Years'. But with 7 months to go it could change, but I happy with it :)

I guess this is obvious but I'd choose the most important song for walking in - (even tho I was last of the whole bridal party so only came in at the end of song) The signing register songs, I hardly noticed -was still in a dreamy state - we'd just finished promises, vows etc, and then directed to sit here, sign there, etc The walking out song.. you only get to hear the first little bit, as you leave first (and our crowd were clapping and cheering as we walked out)
CommentAuthorLauraT41
Im walking into Des'ree Kissing you ( instramental version) from Romeo and Juliet and we have the Gladiator ( film) theme music not sure what its called but its gorgeous whilst we sign the registar and then pilot ho ho its magic as we walk out as it turned out to be the theme music of the holiday in Las Vegas where we got engaged !! x

I really don't have a clue what to walk down to, I really wanted Canon in D but my mum said it sounded like funeral music.

I'm walking in to Cannon in D, looks like a popular choice, we have a string quartet playing for us and they do it beautifully, we are leaving to At last - Etta James, also played by the quartet. Seemed appropriate as we have waited so long to get married X

I think just before I Etta James At last will be playing then I think a piper will pipe me in with the traditional bridal march but i've really not 100% decided. I'm soo unorganised compared to most people on here and now i'm getting scared. The problem is i'm very very indecisive and need pressure to make me make a decision :) xxx

So spread your wings and fly...my butterfly" gives me goosebumps even writing the words down!!! Then leaving to Lionel Richie- My destiny
Im soooo excited!!!! I will cry when the first bar of Butterfly is played!!!

Hi all, im getting married july 2015 at a registry office and was wondering if you would have a song to walk down to or would you only do that at a church or places with longer aisles? but then again there are 7 girls walking down before me and the aisle isn't too short? I was thinking yes and depending how long it takes i could trim the song if need be. Thanks
CommentAuthorWhovianbride
@rachel, ask if you can see the room and have a couple peices of music, on your phone or what not, and play it and pace it out. thinking with wether you going to have say the MOH go first and then the other 6 in pairs etc.
thats what I did anyway.
im having Renee Olsted's - A love that will last.

I'm undecided yet! We're hiring a pianist to lay at the church and the drinks reception and she can play some beautiful pieces! I'm stuck between River Flows in You and Midnight Sonata for walking down the isle. We've got a DJ for the evening party and for our first dance we are having Christina Perri - A Thousand Years.
Getting ready to marry my soul mate! :-D
