Forgive me if I sound stupid, but I've only ever been to 1 wedding do (my friends really aren't the marrying types) and I have no idea what to do... Is there a set running order to do things?
We're having a split wedding, getting married on Tues but having an evening buffet reception on the Sat... IT's just a quiet thing on the Tues for the ceremony, with a few family members in York, no meal or anything, then me and OH will be staying in York alone over night. On the Sat night we want to incorporate speeches, cutting cake, giving out gifts to our mums for help n bridesmaids n best man and 1st dance... So what usually happens? In what order?
Help...

Do it in any order you want. I would make sure everyone has arrived though before you start speeches, cake cutting dance etc.

OMG Linz you are a life saver, i have been worrying bout how i was going to get my evening venue on a weekday and wether all of my guests would turn up, hadnt thought bout having a split wedding. thank you xxx

oh what a fab idea lynz - i would never have thought about doing that! means you have a a nice intimate wedding then a biggest party with everyone!! Best of both worlds me thinks. In terms of running order do it in whatever order you want hun x

Hehe thanks, we're getting married 21st June which is special to us becuase it's our 3rd anniversary and the summer solstice... That and it was cheaper to have a lil intimate wedding somewhere we wanted, I'm too shy to go through the whole thing in front everyone, I'll be bawling my eyes out as it is =D I'm looking forwards to having time to chill before the reception too, I'd be knackered doing it all in one day with 3 lil ones to run round after too xxx
