We're definately having a shot for the adults and sweets for kids in a little pod. H2b is going to ask people to do the shot at the end of his toast rather than the fizzy wine!

I'm going traditional with 5 sugared almons or just choclate dragees (nut allergies in direct family!) However, in a little box - in Tiffany blue with white ribbon! I just love Tiffany's! I think it's divine! In the words of Miss Golightly!
And we lived happily ever after!
CommentAuthorEm01
As our theme includes hearts we are having personalised love hearts. I received the labels the other day will put a pic up of them they are so cool even if I do say so myself haha.

We are having personalised M and m's in our colours (purple and white). We are bulk buying them then I am putting them into cellophane bags with purple and white ribbon and a name tag on. It is cheaper for us to present them ourselves than buy the already presented options the company do.

I've got purple favor bags which I will fill with tissue paper, I want to attach card to the tie which will have our name and date of wedding on it. Because there are guys in my family with nut allergies and dairy intolerance I'm going to play it safe with mints but I may get chocolate for the kids.

An idea of how I want my favour boxes to be... just like the Tiffany ones!
Tiffany & Co. Boxes (my ring box and a notebook box)
And we lived happily ever after!

LMC1302 have you thought about making them alcoholic cola bottles or rummy bears? just soak the sweet in your chosen alcohol for 2-3 days and pop them in a jar or bag for them (they do get much bigger and are super strong! they only keep for a about a week though) thats what we will be doing - plus any left over alcohol when they get drained will make for a good ol' tipple :)

We are having 'Hot Stuff' homemade Chutney for the men and 'Love Potion' Glitter Bubble bath for the women, home made in little cork glass bottles. The children are having a homemade activity pack and heart jelly sweets and some bubbles on the table. We also have a polaroid camera that prints out 3/4 of the photo taken one for the guest and one for our keepsake book. Our family is quite craft and are making a lot of things. the night people are having a choice of homemade jam or mini heart shaped welsh cakes. I can not wait to start making them all. :)
CommentAuthorCatrinG2B
Oh also as an old tradition we are giving the day guests a sprig of rosemary with ribbon tucked in their napkin to ward off bad vibes. Apparently in Celtic times the bride would carry a herbs bouquet for this reason and we liked it so added it to our day. People can take it or use it on their dinner we don't mind:)
CommentAuthorJessicaW22
We've got mini hersheys kisses in organza bags for the men, and pretty decorative hearts for the ladies. Also doing activity boxes for the kids... which has just reminded me, I need to start putting them together! :)
CommentAuthorBethanyP41
We are going to do mini jars of jam and chutney each.

We changed our minds! Were having a trio of mini jam jars... one will be honey from our bee hives, one will be our homemade (using some of our homegrown rhubarb) rhubarb and ginger jam. The 3rd will be 5 sugared almonds. The ribbon and label will be the place setting but also for the guests to write a message for us, to hang on the manzanita tree in the bar!
And we lived happily ever after!

We are having sentiment magnets in organza bags in our colours (black and white). That way we can match the slogans with each guest.

As my dad is a jeweller, I have got all of the girls freshwater pearl and silver earrings. The kids I have got personalised boxes with actvitity packs and sweets etc in and the guys as they are not fussed with favours, we have put raffle tickets in their favour boxes and having a raffle during h2b speech. Some nice things, some boobie prizes as we thought that would keep them awake during the speeches and a bit of fun! x
Hey guys, I'm getting married abroad so obviously my favours can't be too large or heavy lol. I'm really stuck on doing something different, was thinking the Sicilian lemon wax tarts from Yankee candles for the ladies, but stuck for the men and children. Ay ideas? Xx
CommentAuthorBeccyL
I'm still stuck on this one, chocolates would probably melt in the heat, also I need to think of weight as I will need to carry them on the plane or DHL them over at earlier all extra costs.... Any ideas will be gratefully accepted xx

We're doing sweetie jars for everyone. I've been saving all my jars from dolmio pasta sauces and baby food jars ect and using scrap materials. Tying with twine and adding "Eat Me" tags.
I'm hand-making little bird clay place markers. Pink for girls, blue for men, and everyone can take them home afterwards as they can act like paper weights.
Activity packs for children. & I like the lottery idea and the charity pins but got to weigh up prices ect.
Also like the idea of a charm. We recently went to "Healing Weekend" & you can pick up little Chinese Protection Charms for 30p each, i'm sure i could do a deal on a bulk order. Many members in our family are a little bit Spiritual i would say so it's a bit more personal. Or considering a crystal, different ones for each individual, Rose Quartz for any singletons, Amethyst for anyone who panics a lots and needs stability, Tree Agate for my little flower girls, as its a crystal that invites the fairies in :)
Might be a bit out there for some people, but i love the idea of it.
