Wedding Forum - What are you having as wedding favours!...

We're going to buy pins from either action cancer or nspcc, and give those to our guests as favours, I think you can buy them for £1 per pin, and then we are going to donate a little more on top of that :)

There is a post on here about a website called ******* selling Yankee candles at a very knocked down price. There are some Wax Tarts on there for 70p each - I normally pay £2.80 each for these so I am thinking these would make a great quality gift for the ladies x

I'm giving the ladies, small silver photo frames and the males fcuk aftershave samples :) xx

We started off with having little minature seats which doubled as place names and they would be filled with dragees or something to that effect. H2b decied last month that he no longer liked that and wanted to give them alcohol minatures. I've already got flip flops for the women for later on, they will be in a basket in pairs for them to help themselves with the amount of dancing I plan on, they will need them. So wasted is the £60 he paid for the favour box/place name seats and he went ahead and ordered the bottles, 120 of them and feels that we should give them to the evening guests as well...eh no honey! THEN just last week announced we'd give them the seat thingys with chocs as well. Needless to say, h2b now has a very full picture of how much things cost, how difficult they are to organise and how disrupting changing his mind at this late stage is. The laugh was when he thought we'd be able to fill 120 x 50ml bottles with 3 litres of spirits. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That was a picture I wish I could have pre-empted and posted. lol. Wish I'd gone with something much simpler like a lollipop (cos that sounds brilliant) or a lotto ticket.

Were just having red boexes with sweets in ... compared to all your ideas

Help for heroes wrist bands :) doing party bags 4 the kids too with bubbles, glow sticks, colouring books etc

were having personalised heart favour boxes filled with sweets mini love hearts,parma violets,choc limes ,fruit salads and black jacks x

I am thinking of doing charity pins for the ladies and then them wrist bands for the men and then mini puzzles for the kids with a few sweets

We had wooden coasters made with the picture from our invitations and they doubled up as place names. Everyone said they was fab xx

i'm making rose shaped chocolates and we're getting the cancer research pins as favours too

we have personalised shot glasses with our names and wedding date - were cheaper than you would imagine. Pics on profile - i love them. any left behind i'll be picking up to have my own set!!! x

it seems boring now but we were going for personalised love hearts and chocs! in little blue favour bags with gold hearts on them! (we thought they were silver when we bought them) x gonna have to have a look for the site with the yankee candles though they would make great presents for some of the people i know!! xx

Im just looking now on yankee candle, gonna order 50 in navy n 50 in pink but just thought the men wont really want candles will they??? x

I'm having a small organza love heart bag with the 5 almonds as per tradition, then am having minature love heart mirrors n lip balm for the women & love heart bottle openers for the men. Unsure of what to buy the children but where only having 6 at the wedding breakfast

I'm doing that to Liza, I have just bought 100 x black and white sriped paper sweetie bags (our colour scheme) for £1.99 from the same place!! I'm going to start looking at car boots etc for the vases to collect for them and have all black and white sweets such as humbugs, bon bons and lollys, so just need to add ribbon and hand made signs.
