Look at the calories in your food, then calculate how many you use a day. Try to aim to use 500 more each day then you use.

Also- exercise builds muscle- which weighs more than fat- so you may lose inches not weight.

I've lost 24lbs since Jan doing this.

It's not too expensive to do, I could afford it while I was a student..
and advice for the snacks for when you spoil yourself now and again.. homebrand (smartprice, value, basics) chocolates, cake bars ect.. have less calories and sugar than weight watchers, slimfast, lighterlife ect... :) xx

Just check the labels, obviously some wont be the same.. like if they're double chocolate triple chipped! lol. Just check and compare xx

I have lost 6lbs this week, and that's without trying..
    All I do is..
Breakfast = small 35g or whatever the serving is (kev gets me them, so can't remember the serving suggestion) of high fibre cereals. And a cup of tea.
Then I fill a litre bottle with Dilute and a litre bottle with water.. And I stick to drinking them during the day.
I don't eat lunch, never have, but sometimes I have a piece of fruit and a biscuit or a packet of crisps.
I then eat pretty much whatever I like for tea. and afterwards I have a half pint of own brand fizzy pop as it's a lot less calories than cola.. or tango fanta ect.. Oh and cola is full of sugar and calories, own brand or not, so I stick to orangade or cherryade, ect.
Then sometimes before bed I'll have some wholemeal toast or maybe another bowl of cereals, sometimes I don't have anything, depends if I want to xx

Weight watchers is really good, lost 11lbs in 6 weeks so far. Along with a bit of exercise, whatching what i eat, cutting out chocolate and sweets (this is the hardest for me) and smaller portions! x x x

May aswell count them 6lbs as back on again as there is no food in and my mum is too tired to shop, so we're having take away tonight :| meh, i suppose the fact that everyone's been busy today and I can't get down the stairs to feed myself, so have therefore had nothing today means that the millions of calories I will eat, wont be as bad as I think they will (maybe wishful thinking, lol) x

It depends how much weight you need to lose and if you have any medical issues. Its simply eating healthier, checking portion sizes and exercising more.

I'm doing weightwatchers and have been since last September. I've lost over four stone since I started and two dress sizes, nearly three (bum is baggy on all my trousers but next size down isn't quite comfy yet). It's the easiest plan to stick to that I've ever tried so I would definitely recommend it. Good luck with losing; how much do you want to lose, if you don't mind me asking?
