you could start on designing or looking for save the dates/invitations. Pick a theme or colour? even choose what flowers you would like and colour. But I would say to do it in stages as I have done pretty much all i can do for now and now i have over a year to go and I have to wait until begining of next year to do anything else! Haha Good luck! :) x

when in 2016 you getting married? I advise not to book your venue till 2 years before so if its early 2016 you can start trying to find a venue.

    Hiya,
We're getting married in July 2016 & booked our venue at the end of March this year. The good thing with looking now is that a lot of places will give you 2015 prices plus you are pretty much guaranteed to get the date of your choice especially if you are looking at a Friday/Saturday wedding!
There are a lot of interesting discussions on here which give you some good guidance, pointers and ideas.
    Good luck :-)

Hi welcome to the site ! I would suggest looking at venues at around September time the look to book after Christmas. U cold start planning what colour u want and different ideas for a theme (if u want one). If u look on the internet for wedding dresses there will be so meant different sites u can go to to get ideas. The internet is your friend when it comes to wedding planning, even if u don't want to buy from there u can get so meany ideas for pretty much everything!
Also this site is VERY usefull, so if u have any questions or u just need to have a good rant put it up on hear and all the ladies are very useful :). Good luck! Xx

The big three to do is Venue, officiate and Photographer. I got engaged last year in June and getting married 10/08/2015 and as of last Tuesday I have all three of those big things done as well as caterer and bought my dress. A photographer is not something to skimp on either as it's the one big thing (other than the OH) that stays with you after the wedding to remind you of the day and you don't want to be looking back and thinking you wish you'd chosen differently. They also book up over a year in advance so you want to sort it out soon after you have booked your venue. Try, if you can, to go for someone who has maybe worked at the venue of your choice before so they know their way around or obtain feedback from people who have used them before so you know how they work with you. Do you want traditional poses or more relaxed candids with just one or two group shots? Additionally the best advice I received from a friend is ask if you can see an entire shoot of one or two weddings when you're sitting and having a chat. This gives you an idea of how they work throughout the day

The great thing about having 2years+ to build your wedding is that you can take your time, get the big stuff out the way and enjoy the experience. I had a great time meeting our officate who is a Humanist Celebrant so much that we didn't notice an hour had passed and his next appointment started in 3 mins!

And finally. Build your relationship with Pin te rest. It' a great place to help you create a board of how you want things. I love it!
